Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Mind you, 10% of a poss xx,xxx un-hyphened version is still thousands :)
I suppose as long as the name is strong then using a hypen still can give good results.

hope you are right :/ got some good one with hyphen for VR ! lets see, will update you if i manage to sold one :)

Vrmedics is decent. If there is one area where VR may be a winner, it is Health. Health is where a lot of money would be pumped in by big MNCs..Health related VR+Keywords should do well, IMO. VR drug simulations would tell a doctor of side effects as well as effectiveness all within the safety of simulations and only positive results may in turn be lab tested...The opportunities and possibilities are mind boggling.
Been getting high views on all my vr+medical specialist domains (e.g. vrPodiatrist). Augmented reality is currently being used in certain medical facilities more specifically neurologist and cardio specialist.

This was a good review of the Sony Morpheus from E3. I think that the Morpheus might be very important in the beginning for the wide spread adoption of VR, as lot of people already have PS4.

Does anyone have experience with virtual . new Gtld domains?

I just listed two of them at sedo and their auto pricing tool suggested $5999 for each. I don't know if I should set a price or put them as make offer.

Hyphen names have always had a hard time in the US unless the keyword is strong and the demand is high for them.

The EU does not have the same issue with them and price history reflects that.

googlevr is ok to own under fair use but the moment you host it with anything outside of fair use material... bang! You can't just keep it parked either, you should host it with a coming soon page and get some analytics on it. I can't see where it's worth the time to fool with. Although rare, You also run the risk of loosing other domains just holding it. You can be judged in some other dispute in holding it. Risky.

If you read ricksblog, you will have some insight on the hocus pocus going on with new TLDs. Yes, rick has been against them for some time but it has gotten very bad lately and you should have some idea of whats happening. I would list them with a low make offer and translate that on the fly when offers come in.

FYI, I hold no new TLD's. To me, I found it likely that many of these would falter for other reasons and I might loose them all if they fell and nobody picked up the pieces. Not that you can't make some quick bucks with a few good keywords though. The only thing that sells off the bat are a few choice keywords. Hard to run a registry with that low of sales and renewals.

I just want someone to explain that if these are going to be that great, why are the .me .us .info .biz doing so poorly after being out there for 5-10 years. Now we are going to be flooded with them. Back to the hyphen thing and demand.

Sedo's auto pricing tools does not work well with the new GTLDs. Hell, they barely work for nongeneric .coms. Price them at a profit margin you would feel comfortable with. I've been seeing new GTLDs being used much more lately to include commercials. I saw a .Life being used for the release of a nationwide movie the other day.
