Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

That may be the case, but big companies don't seem to agree if you look at the names they own

Super-prem name like this are are little different, you cant compare vrapps.com to Toys.com (Toys.com sold for $5.1 million back in 2009, still in the top 15 domain sales of all time)

Well,
Let me be clearer if I was not, so I do not confuse anyone.

Many buy Prem names and forward then to their name.
I did say that that way. No all, Not most. Many

There are few names with traffic that make them worth doing it for. And that adds value to them. Generic means it fits a broader category and audience acceptance.

I made no comparison to VRapps directly and toys.com sales price .has nothing to do with it outside of value. Value has everything to do with it.

It was "most valuable" to them because it had immense traffic, easier to type and unforgettable or they would still have used toysrus.com (their brand) instead. I believe that they were forwarding 12 or more variants of their name to the same.

Overcoming a hard to remember or mis-typeable name cost them much more than the price of that name purchase. Value !

Something I keep pointing out with some of the purchases I keep seeing here when I state value-value-value, where is the value? Where is the need or want?

The idea was value vs brand. At least I thought that was the topic.
Perhaps I made that a bit clearer. Nobody likes being misunderstood.
Perhaps I misunderstood. Sorry if I did.

Oooooh GREAT!!! >:( :xf.eek: :xf.frown: Now we'll have people with their headsets on and their ears wrapped in headphones lost in their own little virtual world rocking out on the subway/street/plane/etc oblivious to everyone around them... The only appropriate place for this type of thing is in the shower -- or prison!

It's going to be as bad as when they came out with the Walkman. I'm thinking...
(Couldn't find a better clip than this.)

A tornado rolled through my area yesterday; knocked out all power for 190k people and Sprint cellular barely functioning. It's all still down, so I'm getting the taste of the Amish life at the moment.
AmishVR, is it available?

I'm counting roughly 150 pages in just over one month's time? Talk about market over-saturation. VR hype in need of a reality check?

Vrmedics is decent. If there is one area where VR may be a winner, it is Health. Health is where a lot of money would be pumped in by big MNCs..Health related VR+Keywords should do well, IMO. VR drug simulations would tell a doctor of side effects as well as effectiveness all within the safety of simulations and only positive results may in turn be lab tested...The opportunities and possibilities are mind boggling.

Yes it's also my point of view :) thanks a lot for your answer :)other than healt i also think than education will be a big chance for VR, i allready work on a virtual classromm using oculus rift/ leap motion /unreal 4.8, would like to post a video of it to give you an idea of it but it's not allowed :/ just make a search on you tube with Neopost VR you should find it :)

Just picked up VRHQ.net from a drop list at hand reg. I don't usually register .net as I have less than 10 .net in my portfolio. Originally registered in 2006

VRHQ.net - VR Headquarters would make a great company name that passes the radio test and also makes a great short email. example - [email protected]

Virtual Reality Headquarters coming soon...
