Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

@soccertrick

I hope you don't mind a chime in from me:

vrsolitaire.com - Solitaire is a big deal and Windows made it an even bigger deal. This looks nice.

vrcheckout.com - Very nice! Big advertising is looking at VR with a lot of interest. VRcheckout could be a future payment gateway in VR environments.

vrpride.com - This can be a future VR gay sex website. The word "Pride" is a big deal for gay people.

vrsex.ca - Need I say why this a sweet domain name??

vrmovieapp.com - This sounds like a future technology.

vrmurder.com - Sick and twisted, but maybe a hit.

vrsnowboard.com - Under Christmas Trees in homes around the world ... maybe.

vrlivegaming.com - Maybe.

vrdeposit.com - Future website where VR developers can share or sell objects and other VR templates.

vrcloud.ca - Maybe.

This is an article based off parts of the interview I posted earlier today. Pretty happy I regged VRPCs.com:
Oculus Is Building Its Own Games For Rift, But You’ll Need A Computer To Play

Some text:

"The Oculus Rift virtual reality headset will not work right out of the box. The Oculus Rift consumer edition that starts pre-orders later this year and ships in Q1 2016 will require a personal computer to power it, Oculus co-founder Nate Mitchell said on stage today at TechCrunch Disrupt NY. That could make Oculus significantly less accessible to people who aren’t serious computer gamers already.

When asked whether the Oculus Rift will require a monstrous, super-premium PC to deliver its advertised immersive experience, Mitchell said: “We’re not talking about a crazy high-end machine, but something that can play modern games.” In the demo given to the press at CES this year, the PC that powered the demo included an nVidia GTX 980, a $600 graphics card."

----------

I had a hunch Oculus might partner up with some hardware companies to help bridge the "gamer PC" gap, but, as expected, consumers will have to themselves deal with getting a quality gaming PC that can handle VR.

Well. I am a new member on this forum. But registered my first .com domain 14 years ago (it was way more expensive). I am earning money as a affiliate marketeer from 2004 until today but also had some domain sales.

And when you register 40 VR domain names and you sell 1 a couple of years from now for a decent ammount of money you still have some nice profits and it was a good business investment after all.

Reg took several years, I sold very little, because my strategy has been to acquire names of products / services that are under development or not yet exiten, and perhaps never will.

For example I have many related to the hydrogen economy, I bet for it a few years ago and it seems that now, may have some possibility, but it remains to be seen.

Examples: hydrogenmobility.com, ecoh2.com, h2generator, solarh2.com, windh2.com ...

It's a risk you have to take if you want to reg some domain that could be valuable someday.

Yet every day I wonder if I'm doing well, so fundamentealmente I entered this forum, and would have appreciated, I say in all sincerity.....

yes.. this is why domaining is a bit like gambling.. only in the end it coswts you less money and give you more fun and pleasure and give you more chance to win than gambling.

even if you register domains non vr and based on past things, it's still a gamble. I have some domains dealing with an old subject like casinos... even if they are nice names.. it is stil not guranteed they will sell.. so that's for old proven niches like casinos! so imagine how much gamble it is to register thingfs for future unproven technologies like vr.

bgut in the end its alwayus same old story in domaining.. if no one took chance in 1993 or so to register hotels.com or sex.com then there woukld never be .com milionaries! :)

so to me, domaining is always about the same old story. you either take some chances or you do not.

I also own some VR domains and will hold them until 2016/17 - maybe also longer or launch own projects at some.

PS: For me this is gambling too. But I'm really optimistic, that our domains will generate a increasing ammount of traffic or will offer a good base for new projects / companies in this fast growing business field.

I have pretty much the same thoughts for the domains you listed.

Thank you for your reassurance.

@Godsrevenge - Wow, that is an impressive list! There is a nice handful of domains in there that I think are sweet, but this is your top 3 (imo).

VRonlinepoker - This one is gold.

VRpinball - This one is sweet.

VRsniper - This is one is really nice.

I'd watch those three the closest.

Thx for the feedback Fliporium. Very interesting, which ones you like mostly.

These 3 are under my top 10 too. :)

I have some more, but I dont want publish them all right now.

But altough I have some really nice ones, I don't received much offers yet. Maybe because I only offer at sedo and without a concrete number behind. By the way, I have time and VR will need 2-3 years from now to come to the real boooooom... :)
