Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

MVR - MOBILE VR

Vr mobile I am convinced, will be called in the future mvr, reg therefore I have:

mvrgames.com
mvrapps.com
mvrheadset.com
osmvr.com
mvrcontrol.com
mvrsys.com

Clearly, like the dot com it is king, so will the VR, mobile virtual reality MVR can become a very important within the VR (Desktop ) subgenus . I just registered :

MVRcasinos dot com
MVRgambling dot com

as you can see in the Mobile VR they are still very good domains to register , but will not last long :$::$::$::$:

I have to agree that "Mobile Virtual Reality" will be a "thing" that's said as a normal everyday thing one day.

It seems some of you guys are kinda going crazy reggin everything under the sun. You need to make sure you are going to have a likely buyer for whatever domains you reg. My view is VR/HOLO won't take off till 2017 and some of these domain names may only sell in 5 years for a few hundred bucks.

In 5 years time people might not even need to prefix/suffix their terms with VR. Perhaps they'll just search for "casinos" or "games".

I'm just saying, just think twice before reggin some of these names as they probably won't sell for 5-7 years and probably won't sell for big money either.

I'm just generalising of course, some of you have got some awesome names, you know who you are.

Well said, I see this as a scenario for many. After reading about VR headset sales for the next 5 years I do see an opportunity for a lot of domains being bought for a variety of companies. Trick though is coming up with the right variation that someone later will really want .

For those who think VR tech is still too expensive for mass use:

Stanford Virtual Reality Lab Ditches $40K Rig for $350 Oculus Rift

Oooh! And Standford has a "Society of Latino Engineers" that might like my vrSOLE.com!

Hmmm... Congrats to everyone on here. I am busy with picking names to feed flippa buyers build a nice income stream from it. Been studying the marketplace since last year and it seems I am close to cracking the code... No time for vr at the moment.

Good luck to FX, Nitindomains and everyone.

VR will give a nice branding possibillity for domains. The visitor can search/type-in and find right away. Companies can focus 100% on a VR product/service.

At the moment you have LiveCasino wth the live dealers. For laptops, tablets, smartphones and pc. But when you want a livecasino for a VR device you need to add the extra keyword VR.

I don't see the VR keyword being absolute over the next 5 / 10 years.

I couldn't agree more! When I woke this morning I read this thread and just laughed. Some silly silly purchases...

Please be smart about your purchases, when people reg bad vrdomains and share them, it's like a cancer, because other people go out and reg other bad VR names and share them.

***Let me point out that most the people regging lots of domains in this thread are new to the forum! And the older members are only regging a couple names, at most. This is what you call experience.

I hate to call anyone out directly, but if this cancer of sharing terrible names keeps spreading, than we should give this thread some chemo!

Rift is coming Q1 of 2016..

https://www.oculus.com/blog/first-look-at-the-rift-shipping-q1-2016/

Well that makes this holiday a little more affordable.. I wouldn't want to have to buy the Vive and the Rift at the same time!

Truth! I'm still trying to convince the GF to clear out the entire guest room so I can have lots of space for the Vive. I'm VERY pleased to hear that the Oculus Rift will be both a seated and standing experience. Up until this point, they've clearly stated that the Rift (when showing the then-latest Crescent Bay prototype) was a seated experience.

They're going to release specifics over the next few weeks. Excited to finally hear what they've come up with behind closed doors over the past year+.

People have the right to register what they wants and share it in this forum. I don't think that you're the most appropriate person to discuss quality domain names. Each spent or wasted his money as he wants. This forum was created to share experiences and exchange information on domain names. It is what is making people and with very good reason. And what happens if people are new to the Forum? Friendly, respectful and humble people are always welcome. It's same which they were years with the domaining or have just started. It gives the same domains that have sold for thousands of dollars, or they have not sold anything. Given that register as good, regular or bad names. This forum is for that and help us all. One thing is to advise newbies and another is to humiliate them. And now if you want to veto me in the Forum, then do it and point. A little respect, please. -_-

For months I have seen these silly new VR regs and I didn't say anything. (Maybe I helped spread this cancer by not saying anything)

Finally I pointed out this cancer is spreading without directly calling anyone out.

Someone needed to talk some common sense for the lurkers and other people who might see this thread. So I did.

Sorry you don't like my opinion, it's just an opinion. But if I can save just one person from wasting their money on a silly name by talking some common sense, then I'm glad.
