Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
EveryVR dot com also sold yesterday for $155 (what a great start for August)

Agree, a promising start to the month...

Also, a quick perusal of a usually slow July on namebio shows a VR domain sale "virtually" every other day... (Admittedly, most sales by fellow domainers at reseller pricing, but still impressive given that namebio is probably only documenting 1/3 of all VR sales or less... The best is yet to come! ;))

did any of your guys ever figure out airline vs airlines? which is better to keep in domain names? what is most used.. googled it but not quite conclusive. or would you say both words have equal potential in domain naming?

"VRAirlines" is solid for an actual airline, IMO.

All major airlines, that use "Airlines", use it in that format. Like: "American Airlines", "United Airlines", "Singapore Airlines", etc.

I don't think anyone uses the singular in their branding. The singular is mostly used when they're being talked about. Like: "Cheap airline tickets", "Which airline has the best food?", "Airline faces large fine for...", etc.

:)

The Business Of Virtual Reality Arcades, A Future $45 Billion Industry

My friend has vanished, replaced with a six-foot lime-green kitty cat, complete with a square face and claws for hands. Looking down, I see red claws where my palms should be and surmise I’m also feline-shaped, but there’s no time to dwell on this as white blocks are whizzing at my head and I have to smash them or forfeit the game. We work together, dashing to different sides of the platform to destroy the blocks, occasionally bumping knees on a quick crossover. Then my vision dims, and it’s all over. Removing my headset I blink as the gray walls of San Jose’s Eastridge Mall come into focus and the neon colors of Prism Break VR fade away. I’ve been playing in a roped off area next to Sears, jumping around on a piece of carpet. It’s not impressive to look at, but in a way that’s the point, as everything cool happens inside the headset.

This experience is run by
Virtual World Arcade, a Silicon Valley based startup whose goal is to bring VR to the masses, currently $10 for 10 minutes or $20 for an unlimited month. This is their most public location (they’re also at a hackerspace and paintball park) and has a four person capacity. But this is the bottom of the barrel in terms of VRcade experiences, as there’s been a spate of souped up experiences.

HP’s new Nvidia-powered backpack VR PC is designed for work, not play

HP has a new entrant in that most curious PC niche – the backpack computer. A product of the virtual reality computing wave, the backpack PC provides all the power needed to drive high-quality VR headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, but with a form factor that allows the user to roam about untethered. The new HP Z VR Backpack is a bit different from the rest of the field, though, since it’s designed specifically as a workstation... Read More
