Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

.com renewals are streamlined. The price depends on the registrar but, everyone basically pays the same or similar price.

I want to share my experience and opinion on the push to auction option. I personally would not do that.
Recently I acquired a Vr domain after making an offer which was pushed to auction. I was pissed off. I know it's by the rules and it's legal and bla bla but I just don't like this kind of business relationship. It's not honest. Period. You either accept offers or list an auction. Mixing both of them doesn't work for me.
I also want to share the whole process because it was quite an experience.
At first I saw the domain on afternic as make offer with minimum of low xxx. My offer was three times higher than the minimum. On the next day I received an email from a broker from afternic explaining how hot was the Vr market, how many domains are being sold at great prices, what unbelievable investment it was and so on and so on until telling me I should make an offer of at least 3750$ to get their attention. I couldn't afford that and the domain even doesn't cost that much imho so I left it.
In some time I saw the same domain listed on gd. I made the same offer. Nothing happened for more than a week. Then i made a second offer of mid xxx. On the next day I saw I was the high bidder in an auction for that name. I got pissed off and decided I don't want the domain anymore and wouldn't bid a dollar more. Well I won and paid for it as per the rules but had the bad taste from the deal. The funny thing is that if I got countered I would have paid a hundred or two more than that but instead the seller pushed it to auction.
So I ended up with a disappointment from the deal and the seller didn't get the highest price for the name. I hope it will turn to be a profitable acquisition.

Thanks for sharing your experience, glad you followed through on your commitment. At least it shows you are an honourable person. Hope the domain works out for you. Care to showcase the name?
