.tv Viet.tv on Sedo, what does Viet mean?

Hi,

I noticed the domain Viet.tv was on Sedo auction with a starting bid of 500 Euros ($730)
The description says it is a premium domain with $220 renewal.

What i was wondering was "What does Viet mean?"
I have tried using the online translators but none come up for a meaning of Viet, i searched for 'Viet' in Google & Yahoo & even though lots of results came up none gave a clear explanation to the meaning.

ALl i can think is that it is short for 'Vietnam?"
Im lost, i have no interest in this domain & it is NOT mine but i nosey so would love to know why somebody wants it.

My thinking is that it is that someone is looking at it being an abbreviation of Vietnam/Vietnamese.

"Viet" is an abbreviation for Vietnam.

"Vn" is also an abbreviation (and acronym) for Vietnam. Also its the country ccTLD.

I have many domains that are "VN[keyword]" and they get excellent type in traffic.
