Here's my question..what is the value of domain hack? I've seen some good domain hack and i was wondering about the value of it. I myself own one and i'm not sure whether or not i should get more. I haven't seen any sale of domain hack. Why do we register domain hack? Is it because the domain looks cool or because there's a potential end user who's willing to buy such domain?

How much would you guys value Bitco.in ?

bitcoin
and bitcoin, both are more valuable names and continue to increase in value as long as btc is mainstream. Both are million dollar babies to the right crypto conglomerate.

.TV - Wow it has been a long time. You were one of the domain hack believer. I wasn't to happy with you bagging some of the domain hacks back in the days. LOL. There were so many basher back then and I think many people (the herd) didn't pay attention picking up the good ones but you and I managed to picked them up.

I sold most of my domain hacks that were more than five (5) characters long (including the extension. Now I only have the super duper premium domain hacks. LOL.

We've been HODL.ng.

Most domainers still bash domain hacks btw. More power to us.

Agree with you @DomainHacks.com - bitco.in is probably one of the most valuable names one can own these days, let alone domain hacks. What do you think of the above names?

2 words hacks are a very hard sell except for strong keywords (e.g. domainna.me wallstre.et etc.).

I'd price yours at low $xxx if I want to be nice.

I'm a fan of domain hacks, but no.

Crypto.com
is the best name in this category.

Matt honestly didn't want to sell for a long time, until he did.

We get it one word .com have the best value but they may not be the "best" investment choice.

As for bitco.in it's definitely one of most valuable domain hacks and .in domains.

If you believe Bitcoin will subsume the entire financial system then logically ibitcoin and ebitcoin would make premium brands for budding unicorns... It would be akin to owning the hack of ecash igold etc. but better- Cash and Gold aren't the global currencies of the internet.

Low $XXX maybe a few years back but now... not so sure. Thanks for your thoughts though!

Look at ebitcoin.com and ibitcoin.com. Yes, nothing. Not the best sign.

Personally, I would rather own Bitco.in than Crypto.com. Right of the dot importance is trending down. Im not saying premium .coms are trending down, to clarify... 5-10 years down the line, cctlds (and for that matter domain hacks) will continue to increase in value, whilst the .com dominance is trending down

You know as well as I do that an undeveloped name does not = lack of value. If I were the owner of ibitcoin.com or ebitcoin.com (and Im not!) I would happily be holding that for at least high XX,XXX offers.

As a domain investor I'd of course prefer owning crypto.com (I will never spend that kind of money on it though).

As a domain collector and founder I prefer cryp.to.

If I happened to own both crypto.com and cryp.to I would forward the .com to the hack (I won't be the first e.g. notion.com > notion.so).

.com dominance has been going down for many years now. The growth of cctlds (notably .io and .co) points to this trend. Again, to clarify- .com is still dominant. But if you rewind 5-10 years ago, it's dominance was far stronger- who would have ever invested in cctld over .com? Investing in cctld was a big risk, as a domain investor. But it is now a viable investment. Why? Perception shifting and network effect

Now, yes .net has lost market share. But imo, it is the .com market share which is shifting the most for anything which is not A-tier.

As a sidenote...

The funny thing is, that all these domains originate from notable cryptography researchers.

Crypto.com - Matt Blaze
Cryp.to - Peter Simons
Cr.yp.to - Daniel J. Bernstein
