Value of Domain Hacks

Here's my question..what is the value of domain hack? I've seen some good domain hack and i was wondering about the value of it. I myself own one and i'm not sure whether or not i should get more. I haven't seen any sale of domain hack. Why do we register domain hack? Is it because the domain looks cool or because there's a potential end user who's willing to buy such domain?

Sure! There is no hard-definition for a domain hack, beside the creativity in expressing a word with a set of letters +extension!

I mail very nice letters signed in blue ink so they know it's not a mass produced letter. So far good response and I'm about to do a few more. I'll post a link to my letter so that can see what I wrote.

@Zandibot just listed 30 .AL Domain Hacks, with no reserve (https://flippa.com/6235852-bifoc-al). This is intesting for someone who wants a good portofoglio. I checked the domains on his list and it seems all the word-hacks in .com's are registered and active websites.
