In your opinion, would it be alright to offer a database of feedback people have used already on eBay? I would like to start a feedback niche site, since a site I started a while back has some great SERP rankings.

Thanks,
Jorge

I believe that's against their TOS and copyright infringment. I personally wouldn't mess with Ebay but that's your decision.

I might just have to come up with my own content <gasp!>

Thanks for your input.

Actually yes you can do it, at least up to a point. eBay don't allow you to copy their database, although you can cache parts, eBay do allow you to display their content on your site with certain rules and TOS, and they'll even pay you for it as an affiliate!

see: http://www.affiliates.ebay.com

Edit: Err, Sorry, I may have missed the point earlier, you want to make available a database of typical feedback responses gleaned from ebay?

Well, Ebay do make feedback information available via their API, there are restrictions in the TOS about what you can do with it, so you need to check. Also check out the ebay solutions directory to see the sort of thing they approve of. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SolutionsDirectory
