The weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com and business just keeps on booming. This time out we saw Uruguay.com change hands in a 6-figure deal that ranks among the top three sales reported so far in 2005. That was just the start of the action as every domain on our new Top Ten cracked five figures (as did several that fell short of making the Big Board). Meanwhile .Biz continues its hot streak, eading our New TLD list for the 6th week in a row! Read all about it through the link below:

Maybe it's just me but it seems like lately country domains are becoming quite the hot item.

The market is up, but what has happened to .info sales? They seem to have dropped off the radar.

CT; I agree, country domains are apparently booming currently. I guess that sector really has some buyers right now :tu:.

AD, true, .INFO sales have seemed to have gone down. I think it'll be quite popular in a year's time; I just have that gut feeling  .

An interesting one I noted: "BaldBeavers.com kicked in $2,130" D-: . I bet the owner is jumping around right now :D .

Another great one Duke :] ! Thanks :) !

Most likely true since its only in the last few weeks that I've received several inquiries for some of my country domains (http://AbuDhabi.biz ; http://Maldives.biz ; http://Nepal.biz ) although I've had them for over three years now...I'd thought something was up with .biz names.....but reading your comment makes me think that may be the attraction is for the country names and not necessarily the tld....

Duke, congrats on your 3-letter .US sale (GCC.us $1200) and your 4 figure .US & .BIZ in escrow. :)

Mole's always watching - I'm glad to hear the good news about .biz for sure. I've been becoming a bit of a fan lately.

I'd be inclined to think it is due to the names. However, I was suprised that Tunisia.com went for what it did. It does have a small tourism industry but nothing major. However, I'd definitely make those country names available right now. You never know.
