I tried to appraise 2 domains at urlappraisal.net and got some wierd results. it said that the 2 domains was worth 1600$ and 5600$ when estibot said that the 1600$ one was worth 95$ and the 5600$ one was worth 0$

is urlappraisal.net a bad appraisal? can I trust it at all?

can you guys recomend me some other free appraisal that is decent? thx :D

You cannot trust any automated appraisal. The numbers they throw out are based on a script and cannot account for real world factors. If you would like a realistic appraisal, I suggest posting in the appraisal section here at namepros. :)

It can be found here:

Automatic appraisals are always a stab in the dark, but some are better than others. Estibot uses keyword search volumes for it's valuations, which is best suited to valuing undeveloped domains. urlappraisal.net only uses visitor stats (from compete.com and alexa.com) and link-popularity (via Google, Yahoo), so it's only useful for valuing developed sites.

So, if you have a developed site with traffic using a fairly low-end domain, urlappraisal might give you a better value than Estibot.

Valuate.com uses Estibot's data. DomainWorth.com is one alternative.

domainindex.com is also worth a try. My favourite of the ones so far listed has to be domainworth ... happy naming!

Any automated appraisal is rubbish. Do not register anything based on it. If you do, do not expect that the name will ever sell (if you didn't buy to develop).
