Without knowing the domain, it's impossible to say.

Also, as indicated by @URL Stream, don't start duplicate threads.

Thanks.

It would have to be very good, in my opinion.

You probably want a potential factor of order of 10 to allow for possibility it will not sell for a long time, if ever. If you buy at $1000, can you sell at $10,000. Over the past 3 years there have been 3 .club sales at $10,000.

Also, is it $1000 plus regular renewal, or is the renewal also significant each year?

I would research it super carefully before even seriously considering the name. As part of your research use NameBio to see sales of related terms and .club extension major sales, use dotDB to look at registered extensions and search data, use OpenCorporates to see how used the term is in business and organization names, look at the status of TermClub.com and other major extensions, of course check TM considerations using WIPO and US searches, use DNX to see how similar names are priced.

What type of business would actually use that domain name?

It’s not about the $1,000 itself, it’s about which kind of business owner would buy it from you for more than $1,000.
(Are you planning to resell it?)

24 to 27 days (Depending on the status of the other gTLDs in front of it) - I generally knock out 1 gTLD per day.

I'll try to remember to link it in this thread once it rolls out ;)

Not for resell now but in future if the business is not a success i would definitely resell it.

Should you go that route, it'd have to be backed by a [word]club.com as well.

Not that I can recall....

For perspective:
I have a long ways to go for gTLD's...

As soon as I get the .club analysis knocked out in 22 to 25 days, I would be happy to share it with you, so you can stack it with your own research into the .club extension.

Risk what? the $1000 or the loss of the .club domain?
I didn't realize you wanted the investment for a real club. I thought the $1000 was meant as an investment for reselling the domain, and that seemed too risky to me.

hahahahhaha he do has that tendency of registering top domains after his 'analysis' then throwing a bone here or there

Perhaps OP’s club is not for boomer domainers?

@adamaiqen , who are the club (imaginary?) members and do you think they will give a sh*t if the domain extension is .com .club or .horse? Of course a non-.com ext will always confuse some people, but do you even want stupid customers?
Nothing to do with boomer domainers, he's stated he's an end-user so this for his business? Just use a .com name for enhanced credibility and the universal recognition of .com.

If it's something truly local (a nightclub, interest club, cooking class - whatever) and limited to a specific area, you can use .club, since you won't have to explain to many people that it's not ''whateverclub.com but whatever.club.''

But if there is any thought to use it beyond your village, go with .com and forget .club.

Get the .club domain only if you have the associated .com or at least have hopes of acquiring it in the near future (I know housing.co.in later bought housing.com for $1mn).

If .com is not available, get your country extension first.

If you do go for .club, be prepared to do a ton of SEO to make it visible :xf.grin:

Resale value-wise, it has been going downhill, but I believe you don't care about that anyways!
