My registrar advises that I do not unlock a domain (waiting for transfer) until the transfer is ready to go through. Sedo requires that a sold domain be unlocked at the registrar. I have transfered domains from my registrar before and it took less than an hour for the transfer to be completed. Sedo has insisted for 20 days now that my domain be kept unlock waiting for transfer. Is it wise to leave a domain unlocked for so long? I can't get any help at Sedo as to what's the hold up. Can you give me any insight as to why a domain buyer would pay for a domain and then not transfer it? I'm wondering if (as Sedo has stated ) the buyer has actually paid.
Appreciate any input. Thanks.

This is required. You cannot transfer the name being locked. 20 days is excessive for a transfer to take

In my understanding, if Sedo says the buyer has paid, you can transfer the domain over, and Sedo will give you the money... Though you better clear up charge-back policy with them.
