I still have too many non-payers. Once again, this is not specific to Undeveloped, but it is bloody annoying.

It would be nice if some kind of added buyer certification could be implemented.

As mentioned above, our team will notice these transactions faster and clean up fake leads earlier. You might have already noticed this improvement this week.

Meanwhile, I do agree it's annoying to have fake leads and this is on our horizon. We have plans to introduce verified buyers but that won't fully solve the problem at hand. It's mostly a context issue as people don't care to read anymore it seems or they simply don't understand what they're doing. The number of support requests we get regarding items that have nothing to do with domains is also unreal.

Making the purchase flow harder will result in less fake leads but also more legit leads will go through. That's why we're now focussing on making the process better to identify fake leads faster and relisting faster, while we work on product improvements on this front.

Hi Anant,

We don't see a platform-wide issue. If you have issues with a specific domain where a buyer keeps submitting fake leads, inform us and we'll ban the IP of that buyer.

Via our support channel, I'm not aware of any delays like that. I am aware of decreasing response time for transactions that stay in the agreement reached section due to an abnormal increase in transactions, however, we've hired new staff to tackle that so you'll see much better response time there.

False buyers in almost all cases are ignorant buyers that have no idea they're buying a domain. We've changed the process already, after 3 days your account manager will call the buyer actively to see why they haven't paid yet and update the seller. We're also working on changing the payment reminder flow and will send the reminders in a shorter period of time. All this should help cleaning up fake leads faster so we can relist earlier.

Kind regards,
Reza
This sounds good. For the support channel, I did mean the transaction response that you've addressed in para 2 above. Thank you

Another idea we're playing around with is to introduce automated cancelations. So as a seller you could set for example that after 10 days the transaction should be canceled and the buyer informed that they didn't pay in time.

We haven't thought of a bulletproof process yet but that could make improve the process and prevent domains being off the market for too long.

One big issue with this model we found though is that we have daily buyers that need to get approval from their finance department before the payment is sent. And when we automatically cancel transactions after x days this could lead into premature cancelation of legitimate transactions that simply need more time.

So the dilemma is how automated do we want this process to become? We think fully automating this process will result in loss of revenue for our sellers so, for now, our account managers will be actively chasing them for you.

Hi CD,

We've implemented some changes before to solve this problem by making the font size smaller for long domains. However, we can't decrease the font size too much as the domain will become unreadable at some point. If you have a long domain in all capital, it also helps to downcase the uppercases to make the domain fit the screen.

Kind regards,
Reza

Maybe the price/offer box could be moved down slightly on the longer-tail domains, so that the domain can span all the way without being broken up. Probably easier said than done.

Other than that, great service all around. By far, the fastest payouts.

Flawless experience on Undeveloped so far!

Sold my fifth domain with Undeveloped. Pretty good experience so far. One thing I would like to suggest - when an offer comes to seller currently there is option to accept the offer, counter the offer and reject the offer. No way to send a message to buyer without counter offer. it would be great if we could have "Send a message" option before countering buyer's offer.

Perhaps instead of counting from the offer acceptance, count from last contact by the buyer? In most cases, fraudulent buyers will not respond (at least that's what happened to my txns). Of course, if someone is reaching out to the buyers manually or if they have said they need x days to sort out the payment, there should be away for your team to input this in to the txn details manually so that the auto cancelation is not triggered incorrectly.

Still reading through some of the older remarks, but has anyone moved from Sedo or Afternic to Undeveloped and been more satisfied?

I'm running a smaller portfolio of about 60-70 domains. I've never had a single offer on Sedo or Afternic and that honestly goes back years when I used to own several hundred domains. I don't spend much (almost any) time in tweaking landing pages, etc.

Here's my question. I recently bought a domain the day it dropped. I parked it at Undeveloped and went to add the domain to my portfolio. The domain is already listed in another individuals portfolio so your system will not allow me to add the domain.

How am I supposed to add the domain to my portfolio if it's still listed under the previous owners portfolio?

You contact Undeveloped and they'll do it for you.

Strange enough I never had that problem before. Do I need to call them or will an e-mail suffice?

Sold second domain via Undeveloped in less than 10 days after first one. And I have small portfolio there, about 70 names.

@Undeveloped Over the past week I've lost American buyers that won't complete the purchase just because you guys don't support American express and also they refused to use other alternative methods like paypal or bankwire. Please create support for AmEx cause this is really frustrating.

Tons of other businesses and marketplaces don't accept AmEx. Because their banks give tough terms for working with AmEx. What do to. This is worldwide known fact. I don't know any AmEx card holder that doesn't bring another card with him just in case he can't use his AmEx. So it's possible to say, you didn't loose a buyer, you lost some stubborn dude. Well if this makes it anyhow better for you, money is money of course...
