Just using the above as an example, which one would you go for as the main site with development.

I'm dealing with a GeoKeyword situation, do I go with the 'acronym' .com or the full keyword .net?

As much as I want to, getting TexasKeyword.com is out of the question.

I'm strongly leaning towards the .com at the moment.

Thanks guys.

Honestly I do not know, I am one for writing absolute words and not using any kind of abbreviation in spelling usually, and in domains however TX is widely recognised as being Texas, maybe not here in England, but surely it is over there.

I personally would simply grab both and be done with it, set them both working and see which outperforms. Offer them as a package with no extra charge.

From my very limited experiments with Texas or TX prefix .com's I found Texas provided more hits. Throw in the mix a .net, I'm not sure. But I think whatever you choose it would be down to your SEO, then I think it wouldn't matter. I'd personally prefer the TX .com over the Texas .net.

I prefer TexasKeyword rather than TX. However, I agree you should get both if available, to protect the investment. Best of luck.
