Is this rule necessary for the Marketplace forums. Only Two 'Active' Threads per forum. I understand the reason behind this rule but I don't think it is necessary.

As long the Marketplace forums are well moderated it is possible to allow more than two active threads without any negative effects :imho:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Don't know but I think it is more necessary now. You can see bulk packages of 4 letters in same thread also accepting individual offers on each name.

I think then someone will try to create threads like this:
Hello,

#@!$.com for sale

Registration Created date Expiry date

Thanks.

And he will just substitute the domain name in each thread and start copy paste, paste, paste. Eventually we will lose one NPer from here.

So in my opinion it is good rule so that people can focus on one thread and also keep tab on whom they are dealing with.

Yeah I agree with -Nick-.

If Namepros allow more than x amount of threads a day then people will abuse the policy. Last thing Namepros needs is people taking over these areas as it will hurt Namepros and honest traders in the end as people will stop looking in these sections.

I am not suggesting more than one thread per day. The one thread per day rule is in place to prevent what you are describing.

Okay lets say then I do make 1 thread each for 10 days.

On 11th day I Give them a Friendly Bump :xf.love:

Then this will again be the same scenario.

Oh yes and on 11th day I think I can start my 11th thread too.

As long as there is a legitimate reason to create more threads (many domains for sale at one time). If the rules are enforced properly (no thread bumping) then it wouldn't have a negative effect on the forum.

I would suggest maybe 4 active threads per forum instead of 2.

Well friend rules like no bumping etc. will cause more trouble and more work. Plus about rules being enforced properly :'( well I can't say anything about that. Because I know rules are really being enforced very properly and always for the benefits of the users. In fact I am not even saying we can't allow this more then 2 threads. I am just discussing the things here. The decision making lies with management. But as you suggested some things I also suggested some so we can discuss it and see it from both the angles.

Thanks.
