Well I usually list auctions for my sites on SitePoint, Digitalpoint, and Namepros. Thus getting the auction as much exposure as I can.

Now their is a rule about multi-forum auctions
We do not allow Multi-Forum auctions. Multi-Forum auctions cause confusion and can not be monitored. If you wish to use the NamePros Marketplace, you must make the auction exclusive to the NamePros Marketplace.

I can't say I like it, NamePros Marketplace is not the most active market on the block. DigitalPoint and SitePoint have much more active market places and people usually list it on all 3. I think that rule should be elimited :imho:.

I don't see how it starts confusion if someone lists it on Namepros, Digitalpoint, and SitePoint. All they need to do is put the links to where the other auctions are so if someone wants to bid they can just check to see if theirs been any other bids and then make theirs.

This just pertains to actual auctions with a definite end time. There are far too many problems generated when bids are coming in simultaneously from different sites. You can't expect members to have to monitor several sites to try to figure out what the high bid is, and figuring out who the winner is when there are snipe attempts on other sites is often impossible.

You still have options to sell your domains and still multi-list across forums,

- Don't call it an auction and use the "make offer" forum here. List a minimum offer amount and an approximate end date by which you'd like to sell. If offers are made on other forums, update your thread with the current offer.

or

- List on eBay or Sedo and link to it from our External Auctions forum. You can keep us informed on auction status by posting in the thread.

It can, and possibly will cause confusion to anyone such as for example:

You sella domain called Anydomain.com

it was originally posted at DP, and you posted here at NP

the price was set to $20 for 1st bid at DP
the bidders here at namepros would not know there was a first bid.

And even if that was easy to manage, when you get a lot of bids, and your not online, you will have two different bids from two different forums.

I think I'm explaining it right, kind of. Just multi-forum auction is not a good idea, especially how it is not real-time update and such.

Try NP's other auction options, such as
http://www.namepros.com/domains-for-sale-external-auctions/

External Auctions ;)

hope that help.
