Transferring from 123 to GoDaddy

I have recently sold a domain on ebay that was with 123-reg and specifically advised any buyer to open a 123 account so I could push the domain to their account for free. However the buyer has a godaddy account and has asked for me to transfer it into their account, now I have unlocked it and asked for the auth code so he can grab it from my account however he is now asking for the transaction ID which I havent got......any ideas?


I dont see why he cant just open a 123-reg account liked i asked in the beginning.....anyway, any help would be appreciated

I would tell them to open an account where it's regged
and let them do the transfer. But if it could jeopardize your
sale, might as well do it.

It's been a while, but from what I can remember
-someone please correct me if I'm wrong-

the buyer just needs to do a transfer request at Godaddy and then
follow the emails when you get them.

You will get the email request/confirmation from godaddy
telling you that so and so has requested a transfer.
There will be codes in one of them.

Thanks, Ill see what happens now, asked him again to set up a 123 account.....we'll see
