.tv Tool to check premium prices.

Watch
Dot .tv is heating up and more .tv names getting sold or auctioned, like med.tv now on Sedo.

IMO there is a need for an easy tool to check registered premium prices.

This will have two main advantages:

1. No confusion anymore.

Potential buyers can be certain of the renewal fees, I have send messages to sellers on Sedo asking about the renewal price before. If a great name has a non-premium price you are still a little bit wondering if the seller is correct. With a price check tool anyone can be sure.

2. More offers on .tv names.

If buyers can be sure of the renewal fee, they will make more bids. I have not bid on at least two .tv names at Sedo as I was not sure of the renewal fee and I didn't want to end up buying a name and dropping it later on as the renewal fee was too high.

If anyone from Demand Media reads this (Hi Quinn Daly!), I think many here would appreciate if you can take this into consideration :)

John.

Hi John,

mrdomainman posted this method previously:

Try this method
http://www.enom.com/auctions/dotTV.asp?domain=YOURDOMAIN.TV

It would be nice, however, as you said if DM had a formal tool on the Enom site.

According to this tool Med.tv is 3K per year but then again that is assuming the above method is accurate and we have no confirmation of that.

Here is an interesting tidbit. Previously months and months back when Sports.tv was sold it was listed for I think 1 mil per year, well according to the tool it sold for 100K per year.

You have to remember this is what the renewals are. Like Kids.tv sold for $10,100 and now Igal has $25 renewals he got even lower then the $50 advertised when the auction was held. XXX.tv for $25 probably makes that a day in PPC

how did he get a deal like that? i know hes one of the biggest .TV customers. i got deals but NOTHING like that. we have just renewed our domains without a discount so the .TV landscape has definately changed. we dont buy .TV domains any more because of it. we have about 140 and thats enough :)

time to find another emerging niche......

i dont mind .FM except the price, godaddy has the best pricing on non premium .FM
