Too late to pre-reg with 1 and a half hours to go

Hey,


Do you think it is wise to pre-reg a .eu with so little time left say at Go Daddy? Do you think it is possible to manually reg and beat a pre-reg (e.g. a name free to pre-reg at godaddy but is pre-regged at doster, you try and reg the name at go daddy at 10am?)

Who does all this work? Do they at 10:00:01 submit there customers domains?

Hard to tell, but I would guess that if you pre-regged now, it would get pushed to the bottom of the list as they'll have to go through their lists in priority first.

I was wondering the same thing myself, but unclear as to how it's all going to work in those first few hours...

No need to cross the fingers any more they didnt even left crumbs for us.Any ways who is taking live registrations may be we can beat some registrars.

but on go daddy, how do u know your getting the name (e.g. if you reg afd.eu at 10am on godaddy, it must take a few minutes for it to become unavailable on other registrars, so potentially a lot of people can reg the same name?

Only one person is going to get each name... it doesn't update at other registrars, just at the registry once it's been successful.

I really doubt any of the registrars will be doing real-time for any requests submitted while their list is being sent, they have a priority list to go through and that would mess up their queuing system...

In theory then, the lesser known registors are likely to get your name through quicker.
