"You are making a Pre-Registration Application for a .eu domain name. Easyspace is only accepting one application per domain name (i.e. we will not accept multiple applications for the same domain name) and will submit all applications to the Registry in the order that they were received, as soon as Open Registration begins.

Easyspace cannot guarantee that your Application will be successful. Please be aware that there is likely to be considerable competition for certain domain names, through other Registrars.

If your Application is unsuccessful for any reason, including non-provision of the necessary EU address or an inability to comply with EURid's Terms and Conditions, Easyspace will refund £20 of the registration fee.

That's good of them, if you don't get the name they will still keep $35 (20 sterling) of your 35 sterling ($61 pre) reg fee:!:

It also appears they are taking multi applications for each name 8-X

These guys also charge a $90 additional transfer fee

When I checked mp3.eu, dvd.eu. sex.eu etc etc were available for pre reg.

They will not be getting my business :talk:

Sucks imo. Im not going to bother much with .eu to be honest until all the "fuss" dies down lol. The big names will aready be gone, the few I have applied for (free if I dont get them), I know I will not get and Ill be dammed if Im gonna pay just to be told "sorry we could not get it for you" >:(

Far to expensive imo at the mo anyway :p

Anyway the few I have applied for are at pool and I dont think they are playing fair with the auction bit so maybe they will be banned anyway

It will be a strange thing that eu stuff, i pre-regged with eurodns, if they don't catch the name they keep 5% off 20 euros only per domain, its still a ripp but getting few good names sounds too sexy :music:

This is anice way for registars to tak our money,
for example they don't need to struggle get your domains, if they don't catch it for you they will also win $, so why bother trying get your domains?

Someone has some info about all that eu pre reg stuff ?

Is there a company that has more chances than others to reg your domain, i know so far which one is the first as a .eu accredited registrar but does it give them a PLUS ?

Easyspace and many others are just a total rip off.

You could take a look at the following as it may interest some of you.

The Following is a reply to an email I sent to get confirmation that no payment is made if they DO NOT secure my pre-regd .eu domains

BUT they "estimate" that the fee level will be around USD 50-70,00 per year

We will not charge for applications. If you do not succeed in your registration, then we will not charge anything.

If you file a sunrise application, then there will be a separate charge for that.

Best regards

Seems they have all their own rules, but those fees are maybe for sunrise 1 or 2 that cost 50 and 100 €
