Tips for selling domains on Ebay

It seems the market on ebay is very weak for domains over $10. Any selling tips / success stories would be appreciated.

If you got a decent domain, you're better off listing them on GoDaddy Auctions or Flippa.

Ebay is a great place to buy domains, since sometimes you can find good deals, but not to sell them. I have purchased a few names on Ebay that I have been able to filp. I had attempted to sell names on Ebay and it never ended well.

In addition, be careful. Ebay is full of scammers. And to make things worse, Ebay does not protect the seller of digital goods. If someone does a chargeback on a PayPal payment, your money is gone. I lost a few hundered dollars not too long ago selling a few bitcoins on Ebay.

Both Ebay and PayPal support explained that digital good delivery is not protected.

I agree that eBay isn't really worth listing your names on.. You will occasionally find a good deal here and there, but most sales never even reach the mid-$XX range. You're better off working on getting your domains listed on all the other marketplaces out there (DomainNameSales, Afternic, Sedo, Flippa Domain Catalog, DNX, CAX, Bido, GoDaddy Auctions, 4.cn, FreeMarket) as opposed to listing on eBay!

IMHO, I would suggest you invest your time, effort and money into "end user" quality names and then go sell them to the potential end users you had already identified before you bought the name.

I have occasionally bought a few names on Ebay where they fulfilled a need or a gap in the market that I could see, but I would never think of selling any names there as the reward levels simply don't justify the input needed.

Ebay Success Tips:

1. Only sell domains that include as many famous brands as possible, these are hot sellers. Example: eBayNikeIPHONECases.com or NewIWatchByApple4u.com, use hyphens if you must (new-iwatch-by-apple.com) - Trademark shmademark.

2. No matter what kind of domain it is, always add "PREMIUM" to the title, it will increase the value of your hyphen .biz domains x 10

3. NEVER list expiration dates if your domain expires in 4 or 5 days, list as 3 day auction, 99 cents no reserve, important: REQUIRE IMMEDIATE payment or you won't be able to push.

4. Think of COOL brandables like Skiloscozior.com, Kraziaker or Adillioasio.com, Gabibititi, 6L Brandables are good like KVAKZR.com

5. Make sure you are getting all your domains via Coupon Only! Make 50 GD accounts, if they ban you they are just being haters and it is a risk any successful entrepreneur must be willing to take.

6. Adult Domains, HotSweetAzzFunChicks.com or Hot-Blond-Model-Girl-Pu**y.com are Premium adult brandables, be sure to find the most raunchiest picture from Google for your gallery image and simply put a star over any really *bad* parts to keep it family orientated! have some consideration!

7. Sell Premium Viagra domains like Time4SumViagra.net! and use Blue pills as the stock photo, if you list it enough times somebody that buys it thinking it was actually Viagra will pay you for the domain anyway and not file a case!
