discuss TIL Namesilo Expired Domains Appear For Sale on Namecheap auctions

I had been watching componentparts.com on Namesilo's expired auctions for a week or so. Today peeking at Namecheap I also saw it available.

The "Partner" tag on the Auctions page indicates that the domain name is provided by one of our partners and cross-listed from their platform:

You can place bids just as you would for any other auction and compete with other participants. If your bid wins, you'll receive an invoice once the domain is ready for purchase. After paying the invoice, the domain will appear in your account. The total cost will include the winning bid amount plus an additional fee.

I don't know how long this has been a thing but it seems somewhat recent to me and I thought it was worth sharing.

I know Dynadot and Porkbun are also sharing domain auctions. Does anyone know which other companies are also sharing?

Tucows, eNom and name.com are pushing their expired domains to godaddy auctions, with name.com also offering them for sale directly when they reach closeouts.

namecheap started listing namesilo expired domains about 1 week ago

Half of them gets renewed and removed from namecheap while they are on auction unfortunately
Some even after the auction has ended

I have noticed that most of the domains I watch on Namesilo end up being renewed. I feel like probably two-thirds at least. Perhaps it's just the names I choose to watch or perhaps Namesilo puts them up for auction way too early.
