how about adds-on TV / adds-on Google / adds-on wherever?

That would be Ads.

You could have a great sale with a domain that only gets 250 or less exact searches...means nothing imo.

if you belive that 6k peole are searching for that exact word every month, then park it and see how many actual visitors you will get in 31 days.

you are misinterpreting gkw numbers.

What I do understand is that a search won’t ever reach a parked site, but if you do use this domain to develop a website, you could potentially get a lot of traffic, if you only ended up on first page results for that exact keyword.

What I don’t understand though, is the exact meaning of the word appraisal,
is that “check the value of your domain” or “Let you know how crap your domain is”
a simple “less than reg price would have been fine.

I believe most people are trying to be helpful. As with everyday life when someone tries to help or show support their tone may appear offensive. At the same time you'll see very low appraisals by certain people to lessen the value of your name. This is definitely not the case with your name imo.

INSERT_STAR_NAME ADDS ON 80 POUNDS AFTER SPLIT WITH INSERT_SO

I hate those sites, but that's all I'm seeing right now...but it could be for muscle as well.

Don't rely purely on Google search figures when buying domains if the domain makes no sense to you. If a term gets X searches, the next step is to go in some direction related to the logical product or service related to the term. When you can figure out what people searching for "adds on" are looking for, then you'll have your end users or development ideas.

It may very well be typo searches for "add on." Possibly related to Firefox. If so, where is the money in this term? I don't see it.

chicken turds, like pigeon shit, is already popular. cuz so many of us have some in our portfolio's

what you don't understand is... that many parked domains' websites are listed in SE's, and some searches do reach these pages.

there are plenty of parked domains listed in Google, Bing and Yahoo.

also, you can be on first page of any SE, but that doesn't mean it will translate to visitors, when no one is looking for those terms.

if you had just put the domain to be appraised in the title rather than "this is my gold nugget", i may not have even bothered to reply.

next time, list the criteria that you want appraisers to adhere to.

Thank you DubDubDubDot... I have seen worse names, so I don’t feel too bad.

if you created a sub domain off it there could be potential. She.adds-on.com
etc. ANY domain has potential if you put your mind to it. A few examples are
craigslist.... who cares about a list made by craig?
kijiji. Looks like someone mashed the keyboard while drunk and then registered the domain.

facebook? would never fly what does a face have to do with a book?

for a quick dollar and a flip you will get nothing. clever developing can get you somewhere. what about 4chan? (oh no the last boss of the internet). domain itself on a reg means nothing. It is the biggest, and most perverted messageboard around. Infact it comes up as the first search result for the letter B.

A domain is only worth the dedication behind it. So right now it is nothing. Go prove us all otherwise in 2 years and bump this thread ;)

Thank you Grassman9000, gives me hope again that people do actually think “outside the box” This must have been the most useful information I read all day. Thanks again, and I will be sure to bump this again in two years, when adds-on will be scrolling at that top bar of this website. lol

$0-regfee (IMO)

Realistically, probably not much, if any, value for this name. Especially without some serious development. Unfortunately, this type of registration is indicative of inexperience. Something we have all had to contend with at some point, so don't feel too bad about it.

IMO, the name seems vague and lacks clear, definitive meaning, which makes it difficult to market, let alone brand. It is also a hyphenated name, which is of further detriment, and probably draws its stats from the unhyphenated version of the same name.

Additionally, the Dot Com itself appears to have been unregistered since roughly Oct/Nov of 2011, right up until it was handreg'd a few days ago. You appear to have picked up the free Dot Info along with it, which appears to have been unreg'd since 2008.

In this industry there have been worse names to actually sell, and great names that have not brought much. So one never really knows. However, most likely this will require serious development, which could be costly and yield little or no results, and will probably end up being dropped when the renewal comes around, IMO.

Best of luck with it.

Don`t forget that you posted your domain in a domain appraisal thread. The purpose of this forum is to find out what your domain is worth as a domain name right now and not after you develop the next facebook.

If you are developing the next big thing, great. If you want to sell this name for a profit on the domain alone, it is highly unlikely.

Before you create the next big thing make sure you also buy addson.com before your site becomes big.

Remember TheFacebook.com had to buy Facebook.com and then FB.com, the same can be said for many other popular sites.

It is true that a great site can be built on any address, but why start off with a hyphen separating awkward keywords? Make it easier on yourself and start off with a good domain.

EDIT: I should practice what I preach and add an actual appraisal: $0 due to the hyphen between awkward keywords

Advice...dont try to "sell yourself' that you got a good name. Swallow your pride, let the domain drop and move on. This will only get harder for you if you keep buying domains like Adds-On....and there are a million better names with a hyphen you could have got as well.

OP is right. there are 6000 exact seaches per month for [adds on] (and in addition 1300 for [addson], i assume people mistyped "add ons". As you can see local searches in US is 390 exacts, but global is 6K. So you could conclude those are typed in by people who don't know how to spell it correctly.

Anyway, you could optimize for those Typos if you want.

Other than that, i don't see much value
