So I got a response for a domain I'm selling for mid xxx$:

I thought about it, but then I realized that normal photographers like myself.... The hardworking small business woman... Are being totally ripped off by you guys.

I should be able to pay a small fee per year, not this ridiculous amount because you bought up all the good names! So no thank you. Go open up a meaningful business that actually helps people.

Well, everybody got these type of responses but not exactly like this. These are all hurdles (or you can say stepping stones) to get success in domain industry. Every small and big Domainer do this . People who don't understand Domains usually responds like this. But Rule to success : Ignore these type of people and approach next potential buyer. You'll find them, they are out there.

In general, most people are ignorant of scenarios other then their own.

Here's a very common scenerio in the domain world: a well-meaning non-domainer registers a domain and then just sits on it. They had an idea at one time but got busy doing something else and they will eventually get around to doing something with that nice domain... all the while people who could do something with it - if only it was for sale - are out of luck. And if someone isn't selling or never checks email offers - the price is really infinite if you think about it.

I would thanks for her sincere reply and agree with she as a lot of people think that domains are worth just the regfee but this is not true as a great domain can help you to get more visibility through the net (= more leads, sales).
For that reason selling domains is a legitimate business.
If you would make an offer according with your budget I'll be happy to discuss about it or let you know a possibile choice that meet your need.

I always reply to reach mail in a polite way I stop to do that only after no reply to 2 follow up or the deal is done.
