There are threads asking about domainers' latest reg or renewal. I figured it'd be fun to see what you've acquired solely from backorder. This can be a plain backorder or a domain that was won from an auction after 2+ ppl had it backordered. I'm curious to know what you all have been snapping up.

It'd be appreciated if you told us WHY you backordered it, as well, but you don't have to.

I'll start: Today, I backordered HOMEWEBS.NET Why? I've done a look on Google and saw the tern used in many titles / URLs. It looks like I could find it a good home.

How about you? What did you acquire via backorder today?

Just to clarify, I acquired HOMEWEBS.NET not simply backordered it.

Our most recent backorder (amidts many hand registrations, acquisitions and sales in the aftermarket) was Office2010 .info. All the surrounding TLDs are gone to various entities, and our goal is to build a community (UGC primarily) site for sharing information about Office 2010.

There was indeed a period of reflection before investing in the backorder process given the low pricing of new .info registrations these days, but we felt the market metrics justified the cost and time.

Recently picked up Tarsands dot org. I have a whole wack of names that I want backordered and sometimes they don't get renewed and into my pocket they go. I especially like oil and gas related domains because of the pockets of the endusers being so deep. I want to make them drill deep.
