"Afghan officials said prizes of as much as $100,000 per killed soldier were offered for American and coalition targets.โ€

That's enough money to retire on in the region. And yet, the number of US troops killed there has been dropping considerably since 2010, when almost 500 were killed. In 2019, 22 were killed, and that was considered a high number.

Explain that one. Taliban would kill US troops for fun. Add $100K to the mix and it should have been open season.
Liberals have a bloody hard time dealing with facts, numbers and especially common sense!

Scoop: Trump regrets Kushner advice on prison reform
President Trump has told people in recent days that he regrets following some of son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner's political advice โ€” including supporting criminal justice reform โ€” and will stick closer to his own instincts, three people with direct knowledge of the president's thinking tell Axios.

One of the accomplishments Pres. Trump is most proud of. Fooled again.

This is going to be interesting to me. When people get themselves into those, whichever way you go, you're going to lose situations. @mr-x can tell you firsthand, it's not an easy position to be in.

So it seems Trump is softening just a touch on masks.

If he continues his current path, he directly contributes to the spread of the virus. Hurts our economy, kills Americans.

If he tries to turn at the last minute and pretend all of a sudden he's pro-mask. Just think how many Trumpers are going to be upset, so he'll lose there. Whatever is left of the dwindling enthusiasm, will be even less. His supporters will call him a sellout, a lemming, might stay home when it comes time to vote.

Which was is he going to go? Either way, Biden still trounces him in November.
