And yes it was horrible that everything was taken from them, but just as bad that these people had their children taken from them. Some of the ones deported without them may never see their kids again.
Actually, this is a reason why migrants/refugees decide to sneak through the border and bypass controls. They know the reward for following procedure.
Anyway, this policy is cruel and pointless. It was made to deter people from coming in the first place, and punish those who attempt anyway. If only Uncle Sam could be trusted for taking good care of the kids.

Weird how none of you have any concern for the Brett Kavanaugh or his family. One vague accusation that contemporaneous witnesses all deny happened, threatens his GOOD reputation and his career.
You did miss my point. I am not taking sides here. But these are serious allegations, and they should be heard.
It is your right to believe that Kavanaugh is innocent. I believe in the presumption of innocence principle. But you said Ford is a liar and faker, before she even got a chance to speak. She's already crucified by the mob, of which you a part. Yes, you. You have repeatedly ridiculed and degraded women who come forward, labeling them as heavy teenage drinkers. These are words that could have pronounced by the groper in chief.
Unless you know either party on a personal level, you are not in a position to make an informed statement on who is right and who isn't. Somebody is not telling the truth. As to who that somebody is, your guess is as good as mine.
Yes, Kavanaugh's reputation and career is at stake a result. That is unfortunate if the accusations turn out to be groundless.
But making such accusations comes at a huge personal price: you conveniently dismiss the fact that a woman put everything on the line to confront Kavanaugh: her reputation, career, future, peace of mind and
personal safety.
Obviously, some people don't want her to speak up. I wonder why, maybe there is a remote chance she could tell something inconvenient or at least half true ?
All I am saying that people should stop blaming the victims and protecting the abusers.

#metoo is only the tip of the iceberg. I am pretty sure that there is not one living woman on Earth who has not been subject to abuse at some point in life, because she was a woman, and deemed a prey by predators posing as decent men.
