How is it a false dichotomy? How is it biased? Don't just spit out BS without justification.

Read the second sentence. Try to grasp what it means. Gives you an example of bias in reverse. Starting to think that this thread uses a language other than English.

Sigh... You called one side a "rules-based system" And the other side: "lawlessness/chaos. " That's called bias.

When I have time, I'll come back and give a lesson in metaphors to you and your new Danish friend. They are wonderful tools of communication once you understand them.

Forgive my French. You live in Japan. Japan is one of the most rule-abiding countries in the world.

So are you saying you don't have freedom? If you're not free, why live there? The Japanese also demonstrate a humble respect, as a ็™ฝไบบ, it must be hard for you.

Sigh... You called one side a "rules-based system" And the other side: "lawlessness/chaos. " That's called bias.

Read the first sentence and try to digest it without bias. You can't. We all have bias. Trump is testing the limits of his power, rewriting the laws to suit his and his inner circle's interests and causing chaos in the process. In other words, a self-serving Kleptocrat taking what he can while he sinks the ship.

When I have time, I'll come back and give a lesson in metaphors to you and your new Danish friend. They are wonderful tools of communication once you understand them.

Lesson of the day: Xebeche - "He who speaks loud says nothing".

Essentially an aphorism that acts metaphorically. That's how First Nations languages work... I could spell it out for you in syllabics, but I doubt you'd understand the meaning.

as a ็™ฝไบบ, it must be hard for you.

Allow me to further qualify that statement metaphorically... as a MAGA supporting ็™ฝไบบ living in a conformist society, the idiom "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down" would be applicatory.

Without open borders there would be no Democratic Party and California would still be a Republican State.
Democrats flooded the United States with foreign criminal gangs, rapists, thieves, and murderers
so that they would have constituents who will vote for them.
Democrats didn't care that open borders allowed fentanyl to kill thousands of Americans every year.
Democrats attack ICE agents, burn down and riot in American Cities.
Democrats allowed a senile President to manage a war with Russia and Iran.
Democrats lied about Hunters Laptop and covered up bribes that the Biden crime family was getting from China.
Democrats are dirt bags.

Look what Trump snuck into that agreement, an addendum that the IRS could never investigate Trump or his family again. Corruption.

They have a lower crime rate than people born in America

Thanks to Trumpโ€˜s revenge tour and his dumb supporters going along with it, not only have you given up the midterms, but you just killed your younger demographic

Massie got 79% of the under 30 vote

65% of 30-44 year olds

Dems thank you for tonight, will use Massie and Cassidy until November, picked up a couple new allies to go after Trump

Another great pick up for Democrats today was Trump endorsing Paxton angering a lot of Republicans. This gives Talarico a better chance and you have to spend a lot more money running him.

So overall, a great day for Democrats

So are you saying you don't have freedom?
I never said that. Why do you misquote me?
The Japanese also demonstrate a humble respect, as a ็™ฝไบบ, it must be hard for you.
Why would it be hard for me? I've been here for decades successfully and happily. And there is no need to revert to racist kanji. You know, it's rude to refer to somebody that way in Japan.
Read the first sentence and try to digest it without bias.
That makes no sense. I read a biased statement without bias, the statement is still biased.
"He who speaks loud says nothing".
I guess you would know. I'm a very quiet speaker.
Allow me to further qualify that statement metaphorically... as a MAGA supporting ็™ฝไบบ living in a conformist society, the idiom "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down" would be applicatory
How many cliches and stereotypes can you pack into one sentence? Citing that proverb is pretty much a giveaway. I have never heard anyone who knows about Japan, or who has been more than a year here, use that proverb. Lots of tourists and newbies do, though.

Why do you insist on putting people and ideas into preconceived categories rather than trying to understand them?

This ain't about you or me... metaphorically speaking, how does it feel to have a taste of your own medicine when the boot is on the other leg? :-P

Back to politics...

Xebeche - "He who speaks loud says nothing".

Trump Lets Slip Eyebrow-Raising Admission on His Failing Economy

While bragging about record numbers, quoting only those indexes which fit his rhetoric, Trump neglects to tell the public that the national debt is at an all-time high, higher interest rates, higher bond yields, higher inflation and growing cost of living, as consumer confidence is down. Unemployment remains steady (less people in the workforce helps the stats), ICE is working hard to keep it that way. Even though illegal immigrants provide over $60B tax revenue/year, they are not eligible to receive the benefits. As net contributors they likely pay more in taxes than Trump does and not eligible to receive benefits, while he gets to live an all-expense paid luxury lifestyle, increasing his personal wealth by $4B since he returned to office (very fishy).

Compare that to Canada... stock market: TSX/S&P composite has almost doubled the NYSE/Nasdaq; lower interest rates; lower inflation, lower cost of living etc. Higher unemployment is tariff related, but that will change as new markets expand and mega projects create jobs. Carney's income is about $300K, but his international influence has grown exponentially.

Trump is holding a gun to Iran threatening, "Make a deal or expect a "BIG hit!"

In response IRGC said, โ€œShould aggression against Iran be repeated, the regional war that was promised will this time extend beyond the region, and our crushing blows in places you can scarcely imagine will reduce you to ashes.โ€

Do Americans feel safer now under Trump than ever before?

Cannuck asked if Americans feel safer now under Trump?
I do not believe anyone feels safer now because of Trump.
And I do not think that is his agenda !!!

Heโ€™s said that many times now and backed out. And again, Iโ€™m not sure how this works with the War Powers Act that just passed. Can be do that or does he now need permission? Does anybody even know? Theyโ€™ve been breaking so many laws and been so corrupt. They just donโ€™t seem to care and nobody seems to do anything about it.
