Why are you so insistent on trying to find an atheist "mother Theresa?" It sounds like you believe as a group atheists are morally inferior.

Might want to read up on the ethical culture movement of the 19th - 20th century and related topics...

Ok This is my last b/c you're reading your own negative feelings into my words.

1) Post attacking Mother Teresa.

2) Hypocrite Atheist attacking her have done nothing for humanity besides bloviating about things they don't like.

3) You defend Atheist in general.

4) I asked for proof. You name Gates and Buffet.

I"m not not discounting Gates or Buffet or other philanthropist. They do important work but they don't dedicate their lives to service.

5) 6 words then what about Trump.

Who care about Trump? You still can't name one Atheist who has devoted their life to serving humanity. It's easy to give money.. we all do it.

I can give you a list of a dozen people right now who are living their conscience, serving people in remote places. They are better people than I am: https://flyawa.org/missionaries/

These people preach through service. They have critical medical, engineering skills and most importantly compassion. They serve people of any religion, race or creed for free.

Here is a better organized secular organization that does even more: http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/

i gave you an example and you pooh-poohed it. Google it yourself, you'll find more atheist /humanist volunteer organizations serving around the world. You don't hear of them because they don't seek publicity.

@enlytend I'm not attacking Atheism but it's not be definition, an organized religion. Lot's of Atheist doing good work for secular organizations.

Also a lot of Atheist that just hate religion.

May jump into this discussion about selfless Christians (I come from a line of missionaries and have 3 nieces and nephews that have served and are serving abroad) if I have the time today. But thought I'd share this story I just saw about a wacky Christian and their reaction to the way things are...

LOL... love this part about the sign:

It also reads in large letters at the bottom, โ€œIn God we trustโ€ and notes that if this information โ€œoffends you, you are welcome to contact the ownerโ€ so he may โ€œarrange a dedicated โ€˜snowflake safe spaceโ€™ a minimum 24 hours in advance.โ€

You googled and found a humanist organization not an individual. I'm not pooh-poohing anything.

I don't have too. Secular charities like Shriner's, City of Hope are not run by Atheist. They are run by individuals who have come together for a common good. They might be atheist or Muslim or Christian or Krishna.

*** In retrospect, I should have just agreed with you that there are many Atheist working for organizations that serve humanity. I apologize for being arrogant. Obviously i have a problem letting other have the last word.

Not everyone has the guts to apologize, even though I didn't see you as being arrogant.

Not sure if this study is correct or not, but here goes:
Study: Atheists, Christians more alike than you think

Atheists and Christians share many of the core universal values that are at the heart of a just, civil society, a new study suggests.

There were no major differences between Christians and those who do not believe in God in their moral attitudes toward compassion for those who are suffering and ensuring justice and fairness for all, researchers said.

My personal experience as a Catholic is the following... I've attended mass several thousands of times in my life and NOT once, I repeat NOT once during a sermon did I hear a priest say anything bad about, Protestants or Jews or Muslims or Hindus or Buddhists or Atheists... EVER.

So, it wasn't a "twitter customer support employee" who deactivated Trump's account? It was a third party contractor?
