You are not really free when you are subject to mass surveillance and have no right to privacy. In America privacy is a dirty word.

I don't agree with all of what you've said here but you make some valid points regarding privacy and incarceration.

The companies that run our public press seem to have decided to become influencers instead of truth tellers.

It's hard to take emotion out of political discourse. I wish I was better at it.

Emotion is expected in political discussions. For most - it's fuel to write or say more.

My issue is with propaganda, distorted news, and being too far to the left or right that makes conversation incomprehensible.

I just find it a lot easier to read this thread without having to look at fake propaganda coming from GILSAN. It's disgusting. This is not a personal attack. Simply an observation, that to me, this thread is much easier on the eyes when you ignore GILSAN.

One such example....

Backlash to consumer and resource protective regulations is generally corporate interests
No, the big corporate interests love regulations. They can afford it, while the cost crushes the little guys who might otherwise become their competition.

Eritrea, Uzbekistan, Belarus, N Korea, PRC, Russia, Turkey - now those are police states.

I have lived in the PRC. It's not a police state. I am more afraid of cops in the US than I am in China. You may also be surprised to learn that the Chinese have many freedoms that Americans lack. I am not saying that to claim that China is paradise. It's not. But the US is not the beacon of freedom that so many have been brainwashed to believe. The Chinese, at least, aren't kidding themselves. Americans are.

And while China is slowly getting better, the USA is rapidly getting worse.

tl:dr; Refusing to admit doubling minimum wage causes job lose buy citing studies of small incremental wage increases in other cities.

Claims a rise in high paying jobs, when minimum wage jobs were lost... doesn't include stats for welfare, unemployment or disability claims.

China forcing religious minority to install spyware on phones.
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...-minority-to-install-spyware-on-their-phones/

Last eight years were bad, but the pendulum is swinging back now. America is improving. America remains the freest country in the world for speech and religion, despite the last eight years.

This guy actually said once that Communist China is more free than America.

You may also be surprised to learn that the Chinese have many freedoms that Americans lack.

Ok, I'll bite. List those many freedoms that Chinese enjoy that Americans lack.

So who's out first? Tillerson or Sessions?

Here's some reading material. Y'know - just to catch up on some history...

https://www.scribd.com/mobile/docum...g-Complaint-v-George-Soros-Donald-Trump-Et-Al

Hmmm ... looks like someone else was hanging out with Soros...But that's old news. Here's something a little more recent.

https://www.fincen.gov/news/news-re...casino-resort-10-million-significant-and-long

The taj got off to a rocky start with 106 anti money laundering violations in its first year - largely big cash payouts that were not reported. Mistakes happen - a few of those might slip through at any casino - but that number was highly unusual.
At the time, the Taj was also a popular hangout for ... you guessed it. Russian mafiosi from Brooklyn. What a coincidence!

There's a reason George Soros doesn't register his funds with the FCC to trade US stock market.

I'm fine with President Pence.

The same organization (CREW) who named Waters most corrupt, also:
  • Litigated to get the Mar-a-lago visitor records
  • Called for investigation of trump-russia financial ties
  • Filed an ethics complaint against Kushner
  • Sued Trump over presidential records
  • Filed a Hatch act complaint against Nikki Haley
  • Called for house and senate investigations into Comey's firing back in May
  • Filed a complaint against Huckabee Sanders
  • Sued for WH visitor logs back in April
So they sound like they're doing their homework. Good for them. If she's corrupt, she should be called out. Is that current though? I'm not seeing anything on her from CREW after 2011
