He knows, in case you forgot, biggest liar posting in this thread.

Not that I agree with you, but how would that be any different the last eight years that you thought were pretty good?

@GILSAN, JB has hit stage 4: depression

Actually not depressed at all. Nothing is really going to affect me directly, he is just a bum tho. But it's like a 4 year punch in the arm, and he'll get handled next election.

Yes indeed, I will certainly defend that.

I have family members who are now DEAD, defending that flag, this nation, its laws, its Amendments (1A included)..... along with my right and your right to disagree, argue, agree, whatever. When I see someone burning our flag it not only brings tears to my eyes, it angers me to no end that someone would commit such an act against our nation's flag - a symbol of our freedom.

Disrespecting the US flag code is one thing, dropping it - dragging it, draping it around one's self....... But Desecrating the flag it is another. Personally, I consider burning our flag as one of the most ugly non-violent actions one can take against this nation. Again, thats my position on it.

What you've got your underwear all twisted up about is actually a Supreme Court ruling: Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 (1989) which invalidated prohibitions on desecrating the American flag - enforced in 48 of the 50 states and its basis is the 1A. However. this can (and should) be over-turned, in my opinion.

There is precedent for overturning 1A rulings:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...tates_Supreme_Court_decisions#First_Amendment

Again, this is MY personal reason and it should not be considered

Oh, so you're against freedom and our Constitution. Maybe you should move to some 3rd world country where that kind of thing is more normal. I don't like it myself but we have that freedom. For you to be ok with jailing somebody because you don't agree with how some exercise their First Amendment rights is pathetic.

Look what you wrote:
"I have family members who are now DEAD, defending that flag, this nation, its laws, its Amendments"

Millions have family members like that. So you want Trump to walk all over that, just because you have some hatred for Hillary? Do you even realize you disrespect your own family members with being ok with jailing people for exercising a freedom they died for. There are plenty of vets, that might not like it but will defend that right

Well, you went and put words in my mouth "so you're against freedom and our Constitution" How nice of you.

Then you tell me that I should move to a 3rd world country? For what? To see MORE flag burnings? No thanks. I see enough here with these little snowflake punks rioting right here in the USA.

And nowhere, and I mean not at all, did I say I agreed with Trump wanting to jail people. But thanks for thinking for me. If it werent for you, I'd be nowhere I suppose.

You continue your rant about my "hatred for Hillary" yet another topic I didnt bring up in my post that you quoted. You are also confident in what my family members and I speak of and agree/disagree on? Whats next - you're gonna tell me you're God?

Bottom line, I respect your domain name specific conversations, but when it comes to this topic - you do not get to put words in my mouth and tell me how my family and I think about this stuff..

Have a good evening. :-,

I said:

You replied:

So that's you saying you would defend Trump jailing people. Then you just posted you didn't say that.

Here is ALL of what you asked, not just the little part you chose to argue:
Are Trump supporters ok with that? Lose your citizenship or go to jail for a year? Our own little wannabe dictator. Jailing people for exercising their First Amendment rights. Defend that.

Ok with what? With your version of what he said? Ok with overturning the law? Ok with jail time? All of it? The use of perhaps is key. I know you've been trained by the MSM to harp on what you dont like and ignore the facts of what are actually stated. So..............

Lets put back what he said:
"Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag - if they do, there must be consequences - perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!"

PERHAPS you watch too much mainstream media news. Sounds like what I recall them twisting people's words...... PERHAPS you should get rid of cable TV and dont watch the nightly network news. You'd be amazed at how refreshing it is. And you save a TON of money!

Once again, since there seems to be some dense air between my keyboard and your screen, what he's saying is that he wants the law overturned. He does state what the consequences COULD be, not SHOULD be, and I already told you that I dont agree with those. A fine would be proper enough.

And your little wannabe dictator rant is interesting............ because another dictator, who is currently still in power, MANDATED that I purchase healthcare even if I dont want it or dont need it. He LIED that I could keep my doctor. And he LIED when he named it "affordable". Yet HE and the rest of our govco asswipes are not mandated to do squat. And if Trump lies then I will make sure I make him realize he did as well.

Last, I have never agreed 100% with any president since I can recall but I am confident that if there is anyone who has the best chance at fixing the mess that is currently this nation, its Trump. I didnt vote for Obama but I gave Obama a chance in 2008 and I cringed in 2012 and held my breath for another 4 years. Now its time to exhale and believe me, it feels good.

We're never going to agree and that is fine. Have a good day. I've got to go to work.

It's really easy to tell from your post, who you are replying to. JB Lions is an artist when it comes to putting words in your mouth. He's been totally brainwashed by his Progressive ideology and will never understand anyone else's point of view.

On Obamacare - I have friends who opted out of obamacare. The fee if you opt out isn't very much. OTOH, a lot of people who weren't insured before (pre-existing conditions) are now, and won't be if its dismantled. And insurance companies will be able to charge women higher premiums (for regular health care, NOT counting maternity coverage, that was always an additional option) than men like they did before. There were plenty of screwups in the implementation (Maternity care should be an opt-in rider - if I'm not having kids or unable to have kids, I shouldn't be paying premiums for that), but if we go back to the old way it will be worse for many. Fix it, keep the good parts. My rates are bad and go up each year even with a ridiculous deductible. My rates were bad and went up each year long before O'care, and the highest deductible I ever had was back then, with no out of pocket maximum. No big difference. I never meet a deductible because I avoid doctors like the plague, but don't want to lose my house if something catastrophic were to happen.

So Secretary of State - "Betray-us". Not just alleged or suspected mistreatment of classified material, he DID share classified material with his mistress and lost his job over it. Does that all of a sudden mean nothing?

My biggest concern with tRump is that he is weak and easily manipulated.

This one wasn't that complicated.

Trump said:
"Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag - if they do, there must be consequences - perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!"

I asked:
Are Trump supporters ok with that? Lose your citizenship or go to jail for a year? Our own little wannabe dictator. Jailing people for exercising their First Amendment rights. Defend that."

Then you mention the Supreme Court case and the guy went to prison

"Johnson was charged with violating the Texas law that prohibits vandalizing respected objects (desecration of a venerated object). He was convicted, sentenced to one year in prison, and fined $2,000"

Again, you replied that you defend that. Like I said, you Trump supporters are going to be twisting yourself like a pretzel defending this guy, and there you go.

There are many democrats and republicans that feel the same way as @agam, i.e. Hillary Clinton.

They feel strongly about our flag b/c people they love have shed blood for it. That does not mean they want to throw out the #1A as you suggest.

It's a dumb straw man argument that they would.

"perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!" Is not really hard to understand.

I think maybe there are some hard core Trump supporters that are ready to rush in and defend no matter what, could be the case here. At least agame flip flopped to the right decision.
