You know, its funny..... I think we're forgetting one of the core reasons the democrats lost. Hillary's lies, her cheating, her fraudulent behavior, her above-the-law mentality, her negative reputation of having accomplished very little over 3 decades in the public spotlight...
Rarely do people in a company get to elect their boss. But this happens every 4 years for 1+ million US federal employees. Essentially they are choosing the president who will also happen to be their boss or their boss' boss, etc - on their org chart.
There are over 1+ million federal employees and those that I know, who are in such roles, refused to vote for Hillary to become their "boss".
These people are from across the ideological spectrum. Some democrats, some republicans, some unaffiliated. However ALL of them agreed that they, themselves, would be in prison today if they behaved like Hillary did. NONE of them believed that they'd get the courtesy of a heads-up of an impending investigation against them. NONE would have had the time to wipe and/or tamper with evidence. And, certainly, none of them would have been able to apply for another job in the federal government while under investigation by the DOJ - let alone get a commendation from the current "boss" as being the "best qualified". In fact, they ALL believed that they'd be forgotten very soon after being thrown in prison and would have had their careers and lives ruined trying to defend themselves.
It wasnt only these folks that I know who didnt want to vote for Hillary, it was their family, their friends..... I was even told that in some cases it was their neighbors. People who would have normally voted for Hillary supported these workers and did not vote for her. Did they vote for Trump? Probably but they may have voted 3rd party. I imagine that this sentiment can be extrapolated from the over 1/2 dozen federal employees across the entire 1+ million federal worker pool. Add their friends, their family, their neighbors and you get a Hillary loss.
We can pick on anyone for a number of reasons... their hair color, their inability to stand without help, their statements, their beliefs, their positions, their ideological background, their ability to scam people, their past, their present..... But NO ONE is perfect and for that reason we can do this for an eternity.
In the end, the loss is about Hillary and her inability to tell the truth and the people's inability to trust her. For me, that was the key - I do not trust her. The media doesnt get this. Those who voted for her, or better - those who voted against Trump, refuse to get this. I have family members and friends who simply refuse to believe she did anything wrong. Given all that was made public, this is willful ignorance on their part.
They all know that I love them and I respect their choices but they know that I believe they are wrong.
