I have always wondered why the right to own and bear arms is more important than the right to affordable healthcare or education for example.
Or why the 2nd Amendment is more important than upholding the Bill of Rights and other freedoms that are under attack. If Americans kept their guns pointed at their government - it would have to behave. But it seldom happens, instead they kill fellow Americans.

Let's put it in context. The #2Amendment was written into our Constitution so the Gov would fear it citizens. That is, an armed citizen militia is the best defense against tyranny.

#2A is compatible with the bill of rights and protects it.

Education up to grade 12 is free for EVERYONE in the USA. Community colleges offer affordable continuing education.

Gov healthcare isn't a right in our constitution. Our Gov was designed to be unobtrusive.

Can we afford health care for everyone? Probably. But there is more than one way to accomplish that goal. Obama care worked for poor people but shafted the middle class who saw their premiums and deductibles more than double or triple. Not to mention unconstitutional rules requiring catholic nuns to pay for birth control and abortion.

If you know of a country without murder or suicide please let us all know.
