Out of curiosity, how many of you guys remember the day JFK was assassinated? That was a shot heard round the world. Everyone, at least all the adults I witnessed, deeply mourned the passing of a great man, and a true leader. It shook the nation to its core, a trauma that people older than myself can only relate to. We can watch the videos and follow the theories, but it isn't the same as lived experience. Hence I say, if only life were that simple again. Police state vs Civil war, you can bet your Lincolns it gonna happen one way or the other. A shame that people don't know how to protest peacefully anymore - too many video games and lack of fresh air and exercise GMO's etc. desensitizes people and real life just becomes made for TV and Internet. Same ol' story, different actors...at least 420 laws have changed, lol, gotta luv the hippies. :xf.love:

I used to see those Chinese instruments played in the street a lot. Funny how most come from the Western (barbarian) parts of China. Some of the erhu players in the street were magnificent, but basically beggars. Funny enough, I took lessons from one of the top erhu players in China. He performed for the Chinese and Japanese prime ministers when they met. But he was teaching hacks like me because there was money in it. The erhu is basic enough to get the notes right, but to get that sound that just brings tears is very difficult. I could never do it.

But I still use the erhu in my avatar here - and that's why. My teacher has since gone on to better things now that China is rich.

(trippin' down memory lane here, lol) When I was a boy, as almost all boys did back then, we played war - you know, gunfights and such. Only we played Japs vs the US (excuse the slang), because cowboys and Indians was no fun, everybody knew how that ended and nobody wanted to be the Indian (how ironic :xf.confused:)

Funny you mention that, because it's pretty obvious that the Japanese and Native Americans have common roots from Mongolia. A suntanned Japanese could pass for a native easily. And there are similarities in people's names being related to geographical and natural things, like Big Mountain, or Forest River.

And I was supposed to go to Mongolia last year, until that fell apart. Maybe find a reason to go next year.

You're absolutely right about that. (y)

I felt most alive (when I lived in Japan that is) ...went to Hokkaidō searching for some traditional Ainu to relate to. My quest wasn't very successful, but I did enjoy the winter there. Here's another vid I think you'll enjoy, speaks to the heart of any native warrior:

I think we're all searching for our true identity, it's easier to be part of the crowd (tribe) than to walk your own path.

Just psycho!! "Orange is the new Black" don't you know... or vice versa :xf.confused:? I'm surprised the media hasn't picked up on that chant. It's homegrown terrorism, simply horrible how people still judge someone by the colour of their skin and not by the quality of their character. Society has gone topsy-turvy with reverse discrimination, dis-informed entitlement and hypocritical double standards IMO.

It's not the English, sometimes cultural nuances are difficult to understand, and juxtaposition in satire even harder. OINTB was a Netflix series. You know that you can't read everyone based on face value. People often wear masks, or act differently than their true character. I can read the Don, he's a good/bad actor.

Yeah, but I hadn't learned that about that yet, y'know Beringia - then we were just bombarded by Hollywood reruns of cowboys & Indians, war movies & US propaganda.

Mongolian genotype can be traced all the way to the lost tribes of Sami people of Scandinavia. I spent time there too...

I still don't get what you are getting at in relation to the post I put up about that 4 year old being shot, but being ignored by the MSM... all because of the color of his and his murderer's skin.

There's no excuse for any such horrendous act (ignored by MSN as you say), just like so many other just causes that get swept under the rug because it doesn't fit the current political agenda or narrative. Unless you dig deeper under the surface, you're only exposed to one side of the story.

Ok, the pic you posted of a Black man in orange prison jumpsuit - "Orange man bad", now do you get it?

It's kinda like when you called me a two-headed snake the first time we met, I'm not a Liberal, but I have some left-wing persuasion, and traditional right-wing values. Being in Canada, Liberal is the middle, we have three main parties - and each of them I agree with to a certain degree, disagree on other points, but they don't get my vote. I believe in caring for, nurturing and protecting Mother Earth and Father Sky, the waters of Life and the animals that share the planet. We are the Keepers of the Earth, not the destroyers, that is why I vote GREEN.

Have you studied Greek mythology @GILSAN or read Homer's Iliad? If you have, you'd know about the Gorgon, Medusa...

She was a seducer, turned men into stone at the sight. I envision a classic scenario, whereby the snakes devour each other in jealousy in the pursuit of wordly possessions. Can you think of a better analogy for what is happening in the US right now? Turn the mirror on the Gorgon and she turns to stone.

If truth is knowledge, and knowledge sheds light on the darkness of ignorance, we must not stare into the eyes of the Gorgon, nor be seduced by her ungodly passions, rather understand that we are all in this together, on one small blue planet in a giant cosmos, each person a part of the inter-connectedness of a greater whole, individuals children of the Earth bound together - regardless of race, creed or colour.

Watch this video again if it helps, better yet, close your eyes and listen to a Black blind man who uses the beauty of his craft to bring people together, not create divisions, nor injustices toward other human beings.

On a Sunday morning, we ought to take time to reflect, and if possible, be a part of God's greater good...

If I sound too philosophical right now, I am mourning the loss of my first ice hockey coach who passed away last night. He was a good man and a great coach, one of my mentors. It just proves that we are only passing through...RIP Ab, you will be missed :xf.cry:

I never studied Greek Mythology, never heard of Homer's Iliad and never went to University. I'm just a down to earth poor soul whose intentions are good ... Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood.

The chaotic situation in the US is being created firstly by the ultra biased Liberal Media (my pet hate), followed by Hollywood and all the the leftist ideology in schools, universities, politics, social media, entertainment industry etc. that have helped incite all the violence from Antifa and BLM.

Ray Charles is an exception in the music industry, where the vast majority, especially the younger generation are totally intolerant to conservative values.

As for taking care of this planet... like I said before... I've been doing my part long before some rich American Democrat politician started blabbering about global warming while polluting the atmosphere in his private jet and his gas guzzlers. I don't need any lessons from him or Greta about keeping pollution down and the environment clean!

MOMENTUM TRUMP – THIS IS NOT EVEN A RACE – Trump with Over 240,000 Attendees at His Rallies to Biden’s 84(!) Since Labor Day!

    The man doesn't stop.... and
    Americans are noticing.
On Friday alone, President Trump opened in Florida with a Latinos for Trump gathering, then he flew to Atlanta for a Black Empowerment speech,
then he flew to Washington, D.C. before going to Virginia for a Make America Great rally.
He made it home late so he could announce his pick for the Supreme Court on Saturday before another rally in Pennsylvania.

Biden has not entertained a crowd greater than 30 people since Labor Day and probably no crowd greater than 100 since March.

Hundreds of thousands show up to hear the president while under a hundred show up for Joe Biden.
But Sleepy Biden is ahead in the polls right?

The polls are garbage, the current race is not even close. The numbers prove it.

I appreciate your honesty. (y) I believe we all possess the ability to transgress our preconceptions through candid, open dialogue that the media would otherwise have us believe. From my perspective, higher education provides the basic skill set to discern and understand the world as a means for life-long learning.

Momentum :xf.laugh::xf.laugh::xf.laugh: because of crowd size

These are Farewell Tours, Super Spreader events. Think of your favorite band retiring and doing a final tour. This is the last time to see them. This is what this is.

Biden's last National poll had him +10

Then what I posted earlier a few times:

August 2020 Monthly Campaign Committee Reports

Biden - Total raised in August: $212,181,474
Trump - Total raised in August: $61,750,338

    That shows momentum, enthusiasm
