I will be in Austin Texas Saturday at the Capital along with several thousand other people from high noon until we are through, A celebration of reopening Texas, Governor Abbott has done a great job through this coronavirus, we have had a minimal shut down, voluntary safer at home order, as a whole, our local and state police have been so awesome with no interference of allowing people to carry on with their lives throughout this, most didn't follow the recommended safer at home, but people aren't being harassed at all, Texas is opening back up and business as usual.

we are going speak against a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine, we ain't taking Bill Gates and his wife's vaccine, we are going to speak against the digital card planned for people who are COVID negative. we aren't playing any of that microdot chip or any other of any of that shit here in TX. we wont be participating in any tyranny, Socialist acts or otherwise, I encourage you people to do the same in your state.

Agreed, but you know what the saddest part is, The citizens of New York and California let them do this, Get in your house right now!! Ok , just don't hurt me. pathetic , very pathetic.

I agree. I often hear Americans talk as though they have exceptional freedom and value it. And how they would revolt if anyone tried to take it away. Americans now seem even meeker than the Japanese when it comes to defending their rights.

I guess being locked up under house arrest is the price of freedom!

If you have a look at the Map, you will notice all the northeastern states went into mandatory quarantine shutdown under executive governor order, California did the same, I would say in general the east and west coast states got locked down by executive order with all kinds of bullshit talking drones and cops given orders to ticket and ect people who came out, The southern states are voluntary safer at home order, the anti-gun states pretty much got their doors slammed on them, which are primarily Democratic states, while the gun states which are the southern states mostly, and the majority are Republican states didn't.

I felt and do feel shutting down New York , NJ was very necessary as 7 million people in such a small area had to be dangerous for the citizens getting infection. aside from New York and Jersey, i think the rest of the states could have stayed better than half open without a executive mandatory order of lock down quarantine

Yeah, there will be regional variations. Even local. Some Facebook friends from Michigan are talking about the protesters there as though they are all inbred idiots who don't know what's good for them. As though the only consideration in the world that matters is whether they die from coronavirus. They can't even imagine that there are other aspects to consider, such as human rights.

100,000 deaths just scares people. Even though 17 million people a year die from contagious diseases, 3 million of them from respiratory infections like coronavirus. But the media never provides any context like that.

Pelosi Continues To Block Clean Expansion of Payroll Protection Program, Brags On Late Night TV About Her Ice Cream Cache
Tens of millions of people have been thrown out of work and are seeing their businesses and communities collapse. To say that Pelosi is tone deaf is an understatement. She’s taken workers and small businesses hostage to her unrelated spending demands, and now she’s mocking them.

FWIW the folks in 1918 didn’t like having businesses shut or being told to stay home either. The cities that listened, like St. Louis, fared much better than the ones that didn’t. The ones that let up on restrictions too soon suffered a deadly “second wave” .

History doesn’t have to repeat itself. We can learn from it.

(FWIW there are no militarized cops or drones enforcing the stay at home order in NJ. )

With no vaccine, no viable treatment and hit or miss test protocols, giving the virus fewer opportunities to find a host is the best defense we have for now. This is not about personal freedom, unless it’s the “freedom” to get COVID.

As for defunding the WHO:

That was announced just a day or two after the WHO announced that they have THREE potential vaccines in clinical trials.

Removing funding at this point is, as my grandma used to say “Penny wise, pound foolish.”

the economical ramifications far out weigh a virus that has a 96% full recovery rate , the Spanish Flu had a much much higher mortality rate than COVID -19

WHO obviously snuggled up with China and with held information that is now detrimental to the United States, the CDC stood down on testing saying people did not meet the federal qualifications to be tested , many to return to hospital to be tested finally and COVID positive.

Why would you want to keep funding people who deceived you? Would you trust their vaccine after what they did?

Why are they snuggling up to China when we pay a lot more?

The economical issues are largely temporary. Get rid of the virus, the economy will come back.

Regardless of the recovery rate (and they’re finding more and more that some people have permanent organ damage - we still don’t know everything to know about this virus) those 4% are people. They’re someone’s parent, child, spouse, sibling, friend - not numbers. You can’t put a price on someone’s life.

It wasn’t about who paid more money, it was about throwing smoke screens , “the virus can’t be passed human to human and ect” and withholding vital information from the US that could have made a difference , especially for states like New York.

I haven’t seen any confederate flags , but even if so, people are going to stand together through out this, that doesn’t mean one agrees with another , but people are going to stand together for the causes deemed necessary to protect civil liberties, the constitution, freedom. Although you may disagree with it, and you have a right to get out and dispute it if you like, a lot of things that have been going on through out the COVID, a lot of things that have been going prior to COVID are going to be stood up against, counter protesters can bring their opinion , feelings or whatever they want to bring, but the protests are just beginning and will continue until all the bullshit stops in America. It needs to stop, it should have stopped long ago.

when a president is voted into office, by our system, people should have enough respect to not disturb the whole country day after day, minute after minute, the people did not make the electoral system, but people go vote under the system put before us for a reason, and the winner of the election means the majority wants that person. To have the disrespect that the “People” have been shown from their counter part voters , for years now, has been very uncalled for.

it wouldn’t bother the people who voted Donald Trump into office in the least , and might even be a good thing if the opposition would come on and bring their feelings with them so America can move forward and past these times.

but either way, the movement has just begun

i highly doubt you just stop the virus and the economy will come back, when you print 4 trillion dollars in a four week time period, and it is all gone today, that takes a long time to recover just in itself, we were at a point of correction when COVID started, so we weren’t doing great when the virus started economically, now we are flushed and have used assets to borrow the money on, we are pre depression right today IMO , 4 more weeks of this and we are deep depression IMO

I have spoken about Socialism, a socialistic government,, the Democratic Party supporting socialist within their party, that’s a fact, they do, And now, people feel their country is threatened, and have every right to feel that away, the Democratic Party allows these Socialist pigs to air their agendas freely without any resistance from the Democratic Party , so people must assume that the Democratic Party as a whole maybe a threat to the people’s founded country , the people’s Bill of Rights, the US constitution, the Democracy, The Republic.

I read of 5G towers be burned down in Europe, conspiracy theory or no conspiracy theory, if the people do not want 5G and the towers that go with it, then they should stop and pay attention to what the people have to say , the people have not been asked what they want and do not want in a very long time now, we have been forced to accept whatever we are given and pay whatever price that is marked no matter if we want the product or like the product, this has been taking place for many years now, we have to accept the corruption of having unsubstantial fees added into our bills for products. I think most can identify with these fees at one time or another.

this behavior is pure corruption, these companies don’t need to be throwing new products on the people, a lot of these products are essential, and tell people if you don’t like it, to fucking bad, you will live with it because we say so. You will also pay the scam ass fees as we see fit, and we will change our privacy policy with your consent meaning nothing, you will do as we say. All that shit needs end, and quickly , a voting system or something where the people have a voice to accept or not accept such products and fees should be initiated.

I only have one real politically charged comment to this thread.

Stop bailing out failing corporations.

Wrong. In 1918, the economy was left to function more or less naturally. Depressions lasted 8 months to a year. Now, with endless credit, endless debt, central banks, central government intervention, the coming depression could last 20 years. Countless businesses and jobs will never come back after this shutdown. SMEs will be destroyed, and semi-zombie corporations will be financed with your tax dollars (not that you will get a share of the profits - you are just there to cover their losses.)

They’re someone’s parent, child, spouse, sibling, friend - not numbers. You can’t put a price on someone’s life.

Let me break out my violin. Appeals to emotion don't make facts go away. Prices are put on people's lives all the time, otherwise we would have crash-proof airplanes and cars.

Even you are placing value on lives. Do you think those who die from coronavirus are more valuable than those who die from poverty? The coronavirus is a more equal-opportunity killer, but an economic depression kills almost entirely working class (middle class) and poor people.

Not everybody has a $5000 commercial fridge filled with $300 worth of ice cream like Nancy Pelosi.
