For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

This is why you need to do keyword research first before thinking up a name. Find out what people are interested in and you'll have a market to sell to. There's still a lot of good keywords to be picked up yet.

Can anyone help me please.....i have most of my .tels at Dynadot....and when i click on .tel domain in my account at Dynadot, under "Telhost account" i have just opportunity to click on that link to telhost dynadot. When i click it, i put in my username and password for telhost or whatever that is. Then i just can approach to few of my domains, i can choose them from "logged into:....."
But i have there only few of my .tel to choose, and where are the others???
For each when i check whois, i see my contacts, and all are at my Dynadot account, but there at telhost dashboard or whatever, i see only few which i can choose? And there are some that i regged yesterdar night, and some regged before are not. What to do? Why is that? Anyone can tell me please?

All I did to make it live (less than 8 hours) was log into
telhost.dynadot.com clicked whichever .tel I needed,
(they should be listed on the top right)
added an email address - made it public - and a few hours later
it was live. Then I went back and did what I wanted to it.

As for the others not being there, are they in pending order status?
When I bought my 2nd, it went into the .tel part without me doing
anything - I just went in to it and made it live with a public email.

I haven't read every post about .tel at NP, so maybe this has been suggested, but instead of selling directory space, has anyone mentioned the possibility of just using affiliate links for relevant products or sites?

Well that's what I thought too.
affiliate links to a useful service or product.

For example - and this is just a question at the moment,
I have a link on penticton.tel that is for an event centre in Penticton
if I had an affiliate account with the "TicketMaster" wouldn't that be a
way to monetize if I can get the traffic?

And secondly, 13flowers.tel will be bought up by one of the global flower companies who want to secure it, its memorable and the 13 telephone concept works. Whoever already has 13flowers as a phone number will want this.

Subdomains won't work. This extension is about short and sweet. IMO.

Subdomains are simply not popular nowadays.

They used to be commonplace until the mid-1990s but domains are so cheap now that they are less needed.
Ask yourself how often do you visit websites hosted on subdomains (yeah I know .tel is not about websites but you'll either have to type or click on a link to reach a .tel domain).
