The Sedo challenge (Adult name)

ok after sedo's new changes im gonna give them more of a chance

the new pages look nice but lets face it, who cares what they look like, whats important is revenue

so ive set up one of my domains thru an url forwarding service, to split the traffic between two parking providers, so one visitor goes to parking provider A then second visitors goes to parking service B, alternates like this ad infinitum

so first up is sedo versus ND

Im going to post daily ctr, ppc and rpm (remem ND auto-corrects a day after so posts will be a day late if that makes sense)

(note this is an adult name, so this doesnt have much relevance on other type names, but for those with adult names its should give a decision on who is best for parking)

if sedo sees off the challenge of ND, then i will put it up against another challenger to be decided later

a very quick update as i started this last night, sedo is kicking ND's ass! come on ND get back up and in there, birng on some combinations, keep your hands high and keep moving

nothing against your test as it is a good idea, but posting in a public forum where members of namedrive and sedo exist could lead to inaccurate results, best to test and then post results without informing them you are testing, not saying they would alter their stats to win but you never know :hehe:

I have found sedopro to be much better in monetizing adult names aswell,I only own a few...But changing keywords was the biggest obsticle for me...i found webcam *** pays pretty nice

thats why im not posting the url, i had thought about alteration of stats

the figures i give will be rounded aswell so that it will make it nearly impossible for them to work out what the name is

(i know i didnt test this for too long but it was a win by knockout so it didnt need to go the distance)

note keywords were the same so it was fair

next up to take on the champ is domainsponsor

im not a fan of domainsponsor at all tbh but lets see how it goes

if anyone has any suggestions for other parking serives they would like tested then post them

wow hold on there verbster, the traffic splitting thing im using means they have to accept url forwarding, so fab and TC are out (tho i love them both!) (just for info i had the name at TC before and ctr was around 30% and ppc was around $0.12, so its not a contender anywyas)
dont have a goldkey account or dotzup, might apply tho
not paying for an afternic account
revenue direct is the same as domainsponsor is it not
the name has been at parked and was getting $0.05 ppc, so its defo out

so we got activeaudience, klickerz and UD to add to the contest

but i havent decided how many contests im gonna hold (dont wanna lose too much revenue messing about so much)

It seems like a huge percentile of questions in this forum are directly related to which parking providers pay the most. With NP members doing their own research (like in this thread) to help supply info about click-pays, this info should be recorded so others can benefit by it...not let it disappear, only to repeat itself every week by others. It would be great to have a sticky like for the registrar ratings, but with fields for data...like a parking wiki...that members fill in and check/balance. Just a thought.

Sorry about the off-the-top shotgun approach to listing parking providers. I should have taken the time to be more precise.

the big problem is that all names perform differently

i wouldnt dream of moving my gambling names away from fab

but for adult names it looks like sedo is the place

just depends on the kind of name, and even then you should still do some testing yourself

That names perform differently at different providers is exactly my point...and why there should be a database of researched examples to help people with their own decisions and tests... like you are doing and sharing. It wouldn't be meant to discourage anyone from testing around, but it would give a good overall indicator of who pays what for different types of names. For me, that would be useful, as it's hard to move hundreds of domains around for individual tests.

fab defo wins the gambling, this thread will hopefully shed light on who to park adult names with

anyone else wanna try with a finance or something else type of name (i dont have any of them that get enough traffic to do a test with)

Name Drive should turn out best on C.T.R. The Adult Templates grab attention. I don't have an adult name at Name Drive with less than 50% C.T.R. many are in the 80 % range and a few at 100 %.

Webcam XXX is the best keyword as you will pick up some high clicks on Webcam adds that have nothing to do with adult. At Sedo you won't pick up the high clicks as they are paid at a fixed rate.

dominic what template do you use at ND, as im willing to give them a second chance (love them for what they have done with another name of mine)

i was using adult canvas
also what header and subcategory are you using

domainsponsor is really sucking, its getting a $2 RPM! add to that the fact that the visitors is completely down on what sedo is getting

remem im using a traffic splitting thingy so traffic is equal, so domainsponsor is losing my traffic somewhere, either that or sedo is giving me some extra lol
