In this week’s Sales Roundup, I’m taking a deep dive into the stories behind some of the domain names that recently reached the top of DNJournal’s weekly sales chart to find out why these domains sold for the prices that they did.

Today, I’m looking at five top sales from 9th March 2020 to 15th March 2020, as listed by the industry-leading data from DNJournal.

Read why OA.com, 151.com, Kenosha.com, Perfectos.be, and LivingClassics.com sold for the prices they did on my blog

    Great article, thank you.

With regard to the OA.com sale just to point out that AO.com is a large online retailer here in the UK, this would suggest there is just the possibility that the domain name was purchased as a defensive registration or that someone like Amazon might be interested in acquiring the domain so as to harvest typos from AO.com who is at least is partially a competitor of theirs. (These are pure speculation on my part but I think both make sense business wise.)

That was a good buy. I would have parked on 888,888 as my min and would have asked 1.5. Buyer got a great deal in my humble (and sometimes skewed) opinion! Thanks for the info.

I thought that was great that the buyer of Kenosha replied and I loved his detailed response.

Interesting point about AO.com. I'm very familiar with the brand (bought a couple of items from them), but I'd be surprised if they'd drop $600k for a typo name :) - thanks for your input, it's a buyer I'd never even considered!
