I hadn't read that. I didn't receive a cancellation notice and don't visit the new gTLD discussion forum very often. I'm sad that you didn't get your domains after waiting for nine months to use them (as I did before I could use mine).

I just checked the whois for all of the single letters and numbers and only M and N are showing registrant details, the others are currently showing 'no match'.

It seems strange that they allowed just these two. Maybe it's because I registered mine quite early (and I remember that N was already taken at the time of my registration on the 23rd October) and they decided to let them through.

Interesting scenario if they do not release the others and subsequently put them back out for registration.

Some .ooo are still at $1.2 million registration fee!

Would make the single letters around $2.5 million. B-)

I had full control of 8.markets and was forwarding the domain etc.. Doesn't mean they won't snatch and grab the active single L .OOO in due time.

If they do let you keep them then everyone else should have there's returned, wot included.

Scandalous!
What a poor excuse for a registrar, and backed by a huge company. Says a lot about their ethics.

A small spot of good news for me. My domain finally resolves after all these 9 months. Granted its not a single letter/double letter domain but it is a quality domain name in which the registry has the plural of marked at an outrageous premium.

I am sorry to hear about the others listed above. That should not happen... especially after all this time.

Cheers.

These guys have proven they are capable of anything and we could still lose the remaining few they have not taken back.

One thing I have done is to renew the only I have left as this registry is capable of upping the renewal prices at any time as they are obviously not to be trusted.

Yes the scumbags have taken N.ooo ( mine) & M.ooo ( Wordsworth)

Even had a website up on N.OOO!

I had closed down MonikerBlog.com ( brought down fake IDN) but I will reopen it and dedicate it to exposing this registry and others operating in the same manner. D-:

Not unexpected, these registries need to be brought down, I guess we will hear of similar from other rogue registries as the word gets around.

For the record, as advertised one character was allowed and advertised for .ooo and .markets.

It's still being advertised for .ooo, see attached, see attached from a few mins ago. Bad business = no business! :P

You should restart the blog and cover all the new registry controversies. You might want to report on the .Top stories too.

One last thing I'd like to say, it's aparent that .ooo and .markets are probably shooting for higher renewal fees but thats my opinion.

It shows here that .ooo can release single characters, ICANN released 1.OOO and it's not available but could be. If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck then it's probably a duck.

1.OOO released per attachment.

Just as a matter of interest I had 4 offers up to almost mid $xxx for N.ooo via Sedo in the last 3 days and one direct for a larger amount.

I had to put them off expecting something like this from .ooo waste of space registry.

I would prefer to preserve my rep unlike Infibeam.com and the .ooo registry.

Cancelled by the registry but the registrars have yet to receive refunds from .ooo registry to pay us.

These guys have held thousands of dollars of our money for nearly 10 months, wonder who will get the interest?

OOOSucks.com is live if anyone wants to make comments. I will be adding additional pages for .markets etc.

Dynadot said they have had more than 70 .ooo registrations cancelled by the registry but they have yet to receive the money to refund to "buyers".

Guess the registry has run out of funds and spent our monies unwisely! This registry is a disgrace.

Dynadot took your money therefore they should refund your account. And Dynadot should then deal with .ooo if this is the case.

When .markets took back one of my domains at least 101domain made the refund as soon as it happened.

If you used a credit card, or debit card dispute the charge.
