Hi folks, so what markets (not domain extensions or LLLLL.com’s, ect) do you think will be the next big thing? I will start the ball rolling with a few I have heard of:

ar (augmented reality)
m2m
mcommerce

What would you add to the list?

anything to do with the domestic production of oil and gas, particularly in environmentally sensitive areas - "greenwashing" keywords like "greenwashing","enhanced oil","energy sands","oil sands". Watch big oil marketing right now. It's a really confused industry with 200 mpg autos on the horizon.

anything having to do with implants - cameras,mobile devices, etc, anyone see "Shark Tank" this week and the guy selling bluetooth implants? He's ahead of his time but not by too much.

"wetware" - the interface between hardware and biological systems.

I'm not a big fan of the 3d craze. I'll never wear glasses to watch my tv. Once or twice every decade or so is about right.

Lot of 3D products coming out in not long without glasses...
ex: 3DS (Nintendo DS in 3D) with no glasses or 3D mobiles without it.

You must have been inspired by that kid floyd or whatever his name was from the old 3D thread.

These devices take up a small room, so we won't be seeing them on the shelf anytime soon (if ever).

The concept isn't anything new though. More likely than having one at home is that stores would offer the scans for free. The 3D models of your body would be standardized so that you could upload them to any site that supports it. But this is looking far into the distant future.

Already existing, but unfortunately the best of these were registered years ago, leaving the way open to the now more popular, outrageously speculative, domain name registrations. :hehe:
