We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

HMW.com for what I could find out was "diverted" by a previous employee of the legal company that owned the domain. another case of an IT individual taking a domain to himself. in this case was the director of information services.

he probably sold the domain at the level of the previous wave in LLL.com prices that occurred in May which set the bar at $37k and the news spread.

however, gowebnames.com reports it has been sold for $62,008 on 9/2015 at SEDO, which matches a whois change in the management email and registrar (the owner information was preserved):

And I had the opportunity to get a LLL Chip for $8,000 2 years a go and I thought it was a risky investment.

OMG
Some of those got down to $4,000 area 6 or so years ago. Could have bought Chipotle stock in the $35 area too.

actually in 2013 you could buy on auction LLL.com chinese premium for 5-6k...
even in 2014 when prices of short domain started to explode some LLL.com chinese premium could be fetch for 8k in auctions. in may this year it was at $30k

in 2011 and 2012 you could get for 3 to 4k when the status quo was that x,y,z, and other letters were non-premium...

the rise is exponential tough so it should not be a surprise if prices begin to fall down next year.

I will surprise..as i thing LL.com and LLL.com is ONLY domains which potential rise (same as it was 20 years ago and now) as every day somewhere in the world registered new company with LL and LLL acronyms, I can not say same thing about LLLL and numeric domains (even about NN.com and NNN.com as they are mainly used for intertaiment purposes not by businesses) so for me honestly their value is overvalued in times. For me valued domains is only LL.com and LLL.com with western premium letters, as even Chinese now realize that with Chinese names or Chinese popular letters like Z,Q,Y etc they will have real troubles to enter on western market so my prediriction that Western LLL.com's will cost more than Chinese as it was always were.

an interesting example how people can sell a domain that are using, for a low sum: zna.com.

the owner sold the domain in May15 and start using the domain znateam.com. given the timing of the sale and having a vowel, I doubt it has received more than 15k, probably more in the lines of 10k.

many people still today think that a domain word.com is the same as myword.com or theword.com. or at least find that is a good compromise for pocketing some grand.

What is wrong with "A"? Probably he had an offer he could not refuse.

NA can stand for North America, a huge continent where USA, Canada, Mexico are.

Also, zna.com could mean something in other languages. For example, in Russian, "ZnaComstvo=meeting someone", "ZNAnie = Knowledge", "ZNAmya = Flag".

that is precisely my point.
there is nothing wrong with the "A" but the market thinks there is...
so a domainer/speculator needs to buy it at discount to make a profit. and in May prices were 40% bellow current values...

if a company pulls out the name from the business, he probably got a great offer (in his opinion, at least) and might have been not a wholesale one.

I sold what now became a CHIP LLL at triple of market value at the time for that kind of names and for third of what I could have sold now and I did pull out the name from the business.

please note that the domain was bought by a domainer and it's on auction at namejet. no domainer would pay an end-user price to flip it now... so that means that the owner must have sold it cheap for today's standards. and selling it cheap and stay in business by registering and using another domain is peculiar and not usual. it's just that.
