We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

$40-50k for chips, I assume?
For any LLL.com, nowadays it really hard to find someone who will sell ANY lll.com less than $40k.

Thanks. I remembered reading that but couldn't remember where.

The odd thing is that there is so little difference in price of a chip and a non-chip LLL, whereas non-chips are selling at roughly 10% of chips in other niches (4L.com, 4L.net, etc). Since so much in the short domain world hinges on what happens in the LLL niche, it would be good to understand this better. Seems like there are 3 options:

Are LLL chips grossly undervalued (should really be 10 times non-chip LLL)?

Are LLL non-chips over-valued (should really be about 10% of chip LLL)?

Or is the gap in value between chip and non-chip going to close in the other markets, to approximate the much tighter gap in the LLL market (where non-chips seem to be worth about 50-75% of chips at the moment)?

I don't thing that's correct to compare chips to other domains. Every single domain have own sales potential. Some with bad letters have demand by Chines, some with premium letters have demand by western customers. For me personally most important thing to recognize value of domain is to check how much TM's same acronym have..and almost all TM's have premium (western) letters not Chinese chips whatever..so this names with premium letters (not Chinese "premium" letters) have more end user ponential. If i own any LLL.com especially non Chinese "premium" letters i will not sell it less than $100k as nowadays $100k for mid. level and higher level companies is not serious money, at least to invest in domain to have sort email address.

I realise this isn't 3L but I know some people may have some ideas here.

I spoke to a friend today who has a nnn.com he wants to sell. He has been spammed with $600,000 offers. But I have let him know what it is actually worth.

Any ideas as to who I might contact for a private sale? He's not interested in paying 15% commission on a potential $1,000,000 sale.

Awesome numbers too. No bad ones.

Thanks.

Without marketplace or broker it will be hard to find directly investors. I thing for NNN.com best option will be to list at 4.cn as a lot of Chinese investors purchase numerics there.

Good luck to your friend.

I sold once my NNN.com (without 4, and without 0 at start) at $10k only, nowadays their prices grow up to $1 mln, so owners who kept than names at them till nowadays are very lucky now.

But honestly for me personally LLL.com's have more value than NNN.com as NNN.com is limited to Chinese only and generally such domains used for intertainment sites (even you can hardly find regged TM's with 3N), when LLL.com can be used by anyone globally for any purpose, but it's just my thoughts, market value of this names is different and investors not things same as me.

sorry, but that's not correct. There are quite a few LLL.com available for $20k-25k currently. There are a few at that range for sales in here as well. I've been offered at least a dozen different LLL.com's in past few days for around $22-23k and one at $20k, none below 20k though.

NYS.com - $80,500 (Namejet)

Both are Chinese Prems. NYS could mean also New York State, and ZCN has "CN" for China. Not "floor" names certainly.

another auction that will bring huge profits to Network Solutions with a domain which should have not been theirs in the first place.

this is the best capitalism: almost zero risk, for something illegally taken, with huge profits.

i am referring to LTD.com currently on public auction at $184,000 USD. the domain expired on March of this year and Network Solutions renewed for another two years and kept it.

the greed is such that they have recently start selling other domains snagged this way on SnapNames.com platform (acquired by Web.,com, the owners of Network Solutions), a move i see has trying to get out of NameJet, but in this they case decided to move it to NameJet because there is no other place with so much visibility these days.

so let us sheer again for these great domainers.
