It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I've never had any issues with masterbucks..and actually like it since it holds money there until I want to transfer it to cash or bitcoin.. Big fan of the flexibility. And I've used it for years with big dollar amounts. So hopefully your issue is an outlier and isn't the new norm.
Do you have money in your Masterbucks wallets now?
Can you get them out of there?

I think you missed a lot of the thread. :)

No one can withdraw funds via Masterbucks at this point.

It has been down for weeks from reports.

Now we have an algorithm of actions to get our money - every 24 hours to write a negative review about Epik in Trustpilot and about looking for a lawyer in NP.
This guy also asked other victims to contact him. Well organized crowd (+ the lawyer licensed in Washington!) might be the worst nightmare for Epik at this time (class action?)...

It turns out that at this moment 14 consumers wrote negative reviews on Trustpilot, and only I wrote two negative reviews, all the rest one at a time. Why not try to build more reviews for everyone. After all, the violation of users continues, and every day is a new day of suffering due to lack of money due to a negligent escrow operator.

I admire your spirit in fighting E. Most people, like mentioned upthread, simply can't be arsed to leave a review after an unpleasant encounter.

Personally... I don't like adding content to a site for free when they make good money out of it.

SM has a broader reach. I'd focus on that.

I was offered to contact a journalist.
I have many journalists with whom I have contacts on Linkedin.
Are they interested in this topic?
After all, they write about technical topics.

The rating of Trustpilot for Epik got to 4.0 from 3.8 yesterday because of some reviews deleted. Anyway the bad rating from mine is remained. I will keep fighting for my funds.

The right journalist specialising in the right niche (tech, web, hosting , domains, dev) yes.

Epik is just a marginal registrars but not unknown (because of their past controversies) within those niches.

My review was removed too. So I don't think the 15 reviews removed is from one person alone

Did TrustPilot notify you when and why it was removed?

You had several reviews on this topic, and deleted all but one?

Trustpilot has just published my third review on this topic.

No notifications and I only had 1 review
Interesting. This makes me have less faith in TrustPilot as a neutral review platform.

Surely, if a review is removed they should contact the party that left it to let them know it was removed and why it was removed.

On the subject of Masterbucks ToS, currently the Masterbucks.com site has a Terms and Conditions link in the footer, which actually takes you to https://www.epik.com/privacy.php Leaves you wondering, are the ToS only available to logged-in users, or are they only displayed when initiating first use of Masterbucks? Is/was there a tickbox to agree to them? Did users get an email confirming their agreement to use Masterbucks?

It certainly is an interesting question what rights users have if funds were handed over with no agreement in place on how to handle them, or no record of users agreeing to any ToS.

in some countries you may be able, very cheaply and simply, even without legal representation, to make a claim through the Small Claims Court process. In the UK if the respondent does not respond, they automatically lose.

Were there previously ToS? You can ask Archive.org, on a quick look even in 2017 or thereabouts it looks like there were no ToS despite the site footer at that time saying "Users are advised to read the terms and conditions carefully." Yet there do not seem to be any ToS on the site at that time either - you can see for yourself at https://web.archive.org/web/20170904051128/http://www.masterbucks.com/faq/ which says:

Show attachment 224104

I doesn't look like there ever were any Tos for Munsterbucks. The domain was registered in October 2010 - seems it was previously used for something similar - a one page holding page was first archived at Archive.org in Jan 2011, and the first full capture of a developed site on 29 August 2011 - https://web.archive.org/web/20110829061521/http://www.masterbucks.com/ - has no ToS despite the site footer saying "Users are advised to read the terms and conditions carefully". Surprising that payment processors would allow use with a system with no ToS - but then Paypal did quite Epik.

On 18 Jan 2011 the site announced that it was offering a digital currency: https://web.archive.org/web/20110118081312/http://www.masterbucks.com/ namely:
MasterBucks

A virtual currency bringing
liquidity to the domain industry.

Coming soon from Epik.com

By the way, the domain master-bucks.com was registered in July 2020 and the registrant has paid for Godaddy privacy.
