If I forget to call in my insulin refills at West point, I go to Walmart, there generic bottle of R for meals or N slow acting is only 25 bucks, also no prescription needed, but you have to have one for needles, but I have a ton of them

Thanks for the link..one of my loved ones is a T1 diabetic, I sincerely wish I had it not her!!! I do my best to be her "anchor in the storm"...

There at least two pictures of me in this thread..one of them is me driving a John Deere 1010 bulldozer clearing my lot..the other is of me and my two kids..

Personally I am way more handy than handsome...my dad says "that looks skip a generation and he has beautiful grandkids" lol

One daughter is a type 1.
And for the past several weeks, she has gone through hell.
One doctor took her off her meds, kept the insulin at a higher level.
Then gave her some new med and bam!
She has been fighting her sugar levels from 40 to 75 (high at 75!).
Another doctor lowered her insulin.
And that seemed to help a bit, her lows now went into the 50 to 60's.
So then her first doctor told her do this or I am done with you!
Thus her second doctor, a female, got her off the med she was taking and put her on another med.
But still...up and down and up and down at all times.
So the other day, had a DEXCOM unit put in and on her.
It reads her levels constantly and every 5 minutes sends her a reading on her phone.
Now she finally has it under good control.

New experience for me yesterday...yeah, I put this on my blog,,,,but some of you probably don't go there often....
My PSA reading last week was high, 18.
So my doctor passed on the info to my urology people.
Wednesday, got a new blood work and my PSA was 17.
So Friday morning, got to meet with a new urology doctor.
Who explained PSA and why the high reading, etc etc etc.
Plus ordered up a MRI next week to check out my prostate (PSA) to make sure cancer free (should be as oncologists and other doctors never said a word).
Then the check of my prostate: drop trou, spread cheeks, bend over.
And the urologist doctor checked it out, quite thorough....
And the first ever?
It was a WOMAN DOCTOR!
Good looking also....

Update on gas prices here....
Locally 2.49
But drive just 13 miles to the next city, like we did yesterday for lunch (PHO).
2.19....
With gas perks....filled car with gas at 1.43 per gallon.
