Hello Mods & Mems,

Well you guys know I love to share my personal mail with everyone.
Especially when it comes from those really, really close friends I
have never even met, you know, those ones living in strange and
exotic lands through out the world.

Gee, it's really a good feeling, being so darn popular.

People are always telling me what an honest and trusted friend I am.
And they must really think so because they are constantly telling
me of the thousands of people they considered, I, thats right, me...
I was the only one they could trust to help them smuggle
millions, <<<<< thats what I said, MILLIONS of dollars of out
of the war torn, or despot ruled country they live in.

Lemme tell you right now, it's not easy being me. Ever so popular.

Well on top of people always trying to give me huge, embarassing,
UnGodly amounts of money, many of them like to look after my
welfare, and we're not talking about the checks, I dont get them
anymore. Darn that Ronald Reagan... where was I, Oh yea, people
I have never even met go out of thier way to protect my well being.

Take this morning for example.

Well, are you going to take it or not?
Ok, nm... on with the story.

So I open my email, as we all do on occasion, and low and behold
a letter from my very good friends at PayPal.

It tells me I have been flagged (not flogged, thats another story, and
one I not really proud of). Anyways, I was flagged by the natural process
of the system running random checks. Is that cool or what? Lucky me!

And how kind of them, going through all that trouble to protect me, allbeit, it seems from myself. But hey, who can argue with a system.
The really cool thing is how easy they make it for me to resolve this serious
issue. All I have to do is click a simple link, you know the one... it say PayPal something... all I have to do is click that link, no no, not those other ones, we dont want to waste precious time, just click the clearly marked, PayPal something one and enter my account information. WoW, thats simple.

No pesky phone calls, listening to really bad Kenny G stuff while waiting to talk to an interactive bot that apparently is hard of hearing and invaribly directs to the wrong department, where you are put on hold while they transfer you to the correct department, where of course you are met my another deaf bot and there by the circle of life is complete.

Nopers... non of that. Not for the ever popular, and well known Cyberian.
For me its just a click, type in a couple of details... you know stuff we do all the time... CC numbers, Bank account information, PIN and secret question answers, and just to prove it's not all business with them, they want to know how my mom is. Well wait, they never really asked how she is, but they did show respect and appreciation of my family history since they wanted her maiden name as well.

Yuppers, what a grand morning.

And the really cool part, I got to share this all with you.

Ok, now for those of you without a life that have made it this far down, heres the real story.

I got a really, really well done phishing letter this morning.
There were many links, and they all read P/P in the task bar.
The form itself was in color, with well writen content and if we
wern't so suspicious in nature, we might fall for this one.

I have attached the source, stripped out of course for you all
to check out. Not that you might have really fallen for it, but
maybe your mom's or grandparents arent as savvy as you.
You may want to give them a heads up.

The file is in text form, open it in notepad and save it as html.

This next part is for teh geeks...
Check this out all you wannabe scriptkiddies...

Our ride starts in beautiful southern cali, then wham, bangladesh?... nawww, 3 black holes us back to cali, bouncing around trying to lose trail dust on the tenge 3 3 car before he jumps on the sing la level 3, then its a pleasent tour of Singapores seedy boxes on the SingTel-IX express, 7 of them, a nice jaunt across the indian, and where does node 14 find us? No way.Not back in the old neighborhood? wait, 15 is taking us right to 16, which is the same as node2, where any fool with a laptop could find his front door in an hour.

Dont try this at home kids.

Bye for now, see you all next week for another rip roarin ride on the scriptkiddie backwards choo-choo, where all the engineers ride in the caboose.

Brought to you by AstralAirlines, we dont need navigators, or pilots, or even planes for that matter.

Say good nite Gracie.
