Does it do any good to submit your site(s) to search engines or do they pretty much find you anyway? If you should submit, lol where can you do that at? (Yes a noob question I know)

The best way to get added is to add links to your website.

If makes no difference at all. Search engines find oages by following links.

Yea,you need a link from a page already submitted to google.

You need links from sites which are already indexed and whose pages are regularly crawled, not from the pages which are submitted to Google.

To get indexed i suggest link building, just link exchange & submit to web directories.

Nobody submits directly to search engines anymore. Webmasters simply get as many incoming links they can back to their web sites and they will get indexed by major search engines ( google, yahoo, msn .. ).

If your site is linked from a site that is already on that particular search engine you want to be on, most likely a spider will crawl your site during one of its updates. It might take some time but they have a lot of sites to crawl. I do know google does have an add URL page if you want to speed up the process of getting your site indexed by them though. You can access it by going to http://google.com/addurl.html

Add in DP signature

If you add your website into your signature file you'll likely get indexed in roughly one week if you post a few times on Namepros.

Its an easy way to get indexed.

Hi,

No you don't need to submit your site to search engines. To get indexed you just need to get some backlinks.

A backlink from a high PR site speeds the process more.

Write and submit an article using free articlemarketer.com and you get indexed quite easily. You place a link in your article bio, and the link then gets submitted to many websites along with your article.

Those backlinks are enough to get your site indexed.

No Need to Submit URL to SE, Either Submit your Link to directories, Submit also Article and Press Releases and most important is Link Building, Look for a link trader that owns High PR. PR3 and above will do., You may request or post to this thread for a link exchange.

To get indexed by Google, try to get a link to your website from a website having Google Pagerank 4 or more. Higher the pagerank, your website will be crawled and indexed faster.
