A new thread - perhaps under domain discussion-

"To keep or not to keep" ....

People can list their domains that are expiring and other members can vote on to keep it or not and why...

I think this would be an invaluable section for domainers to just test and see if something there letting go, maybe more valueable than they thought..

A thread or a sub forum?

Not sure if there's currently enough volume for it's own sub forum, but it's certainly a question I ask myself often.

Maybe if the sub forum was there, the volume would come?

SubForum works for me - but I would love to see a section just dedicated to it. I think it would be popular. Lord knows Ive got questions.

I believe the Appraisals section is OK. Whether we vote 'keep' or 'drop' we would justify our opinion somehow. Besides, fresh regs can often be deleted in the 5 first days

Agreed -- why not just use the Appraisals forum? It's certainly busy and many threads there serve that purpose (saving the names or letting them expire). :imho:

IMO there are ways to make the existing appraisals section more efficient.
For example it would be good if all threads had a domain in title :guilty:

what i usually do (and this goes for threads outside of the appraisals section too), is mouseover the thread title and read the little snippet that comes out. it's quicker than loading the entire thread and usually gives me enough info as to whether or not i need to read that thread.
