Sudden / strange drop in visits - can anyone explain?

I have a domain that has been getting about 11,000 visits a day, with parking income of about $20/day. Almost all visits from China.
Last few days number of visits suddenly dropped to less than 1000/day with hardly any clicks/income. This is probably unrelated to normal 20-30% drop seen with other domain during holiday season.
DNS is fine and domain is resolving. Could someone offer an explanation?
Thanks.

This is because last few days, there has been problem with China internet connection due to the earthquake in Taiwan. It also affect a few areas in Singapore and South Korea.
Some of the internet are slowly being fixed. Although there are still majority problems.
This has been happened about 3 or 4 days now.

Could've been that earthquake off Taiwan, just got an email from a friend in mainland China, he can't get anthing outside of China now. Not sure when they'll have it fixed .

Generally it means you either dropped off of a major engine or two .... or Someone removed an important Backlink (Or several) - IMO.

If it was natural traffic - You'd see a pattern leading to it. How long have you been observing it ?

Yes, earthquake has had an effect on internet access from China, but mainly Taiwan.

But, what you describe is not unusual for some of my chinese related domains. Depends on what is in the news or what characters they type in. I have seen some with thousands of hits spike up in a couple of days and then fall back to nearly nothing. With 2.5 billion people, this is not a big surprise. I guess its like any newsworthy event here or anywhere else.

NameDrive is having some of their own issues...internal, hacking, server attacks...see post on DNF. Nothing as far as I know as having anything to do with earthquakes or global events.
